I believe the old adage that says” too many cooks spoil the brew” there were too many shows spinning off of William Petersens original CSI. That was the best show ever!
Yeah they leave thinking they are gonna do better and they get forgotten, why can't actors just embrace when they got something good and hang on to it, instead they gotta push the boundaries and 99% of the time they never get picked up for anything else again.

I am a big fan of Grissom, glad to see him return in some capacity for the reboot. I also really loved Warrick Brown, he had this easy going but really intelligent type of personality that drew me in, not to mention he was sexy as hell!
I think it's a shame that Melina Kanakaredes left the series CSI: NY after 6 seasons because her character Stella Bonasera was a really fierce lady. Especially when it came to her colleagues or situations she got herself into, such as the storyline surrounding the stolen ancient Greek coins and the case surrounding the 'suicide' of the character Marina Garito in the episode 'Rest in Piece, Marita Garito'. But what, in my opinion, would be appropriate is that Melina Kanakaredes would be asked to do a small voice-over for the 1st episode of the 7th season where Lindsey Messer-Monroe receives a letter from Stella Bonasera, the character played by Melina Kanakaredes. And that the letter is read with the voice of Melina Kanakaredes as the voice-over. Something that has been done before with the actress Claire Forlani who was the voice over of the letter addressed to Mac Taylor and the letter was written by Peyton Driscoll, the character played by Claire Forlani.
Season 1was good just got back into it when I heard Petersen was only going to do the first season and since he wasn't going to be in after that Fox said "no Grissom no Sara" and decided to leave after season 1 also! I completely understand Petersen has young kids & loves working on stage and Fox & Petersen were a team! But once they left the new show tanked! New cast just can't fill the shoes of the original CSI cast!

I agree. I started watching CSI when I was 15, and many of his jokes went over my head. Rewatching it now as an adult, I'm surprised because he was so funny, and I didn't even know.
CSI Miami was and still is my favorite show it takes me back when I was a kid watching it with my grandparents and I still watch it today and when Tim Speedle died I was crying like a little baby and when he returned in season 6 I get so emotional

I love Jorja Fox, and she did come back to the original series after leaving the second time and was there till the end. I only wish she would've played a gay character, specially after leaving ER too soon and not being able to finish an incredible storyline for it's time (the mid 90s)

I also liked Conrad Eckley and Rick Stetler. When Horatio and Rick used to lock horns uou could just feel the testosterone. Eckley went from being a total ass to halfway likeable.
Actors and actresses need to take a page out of the old Gunsmoke show. It was n are for 20 years. The 3 main cast members James Arness 20 years, Millburn Stone Doc 20 years Amanda Blake 19 years. Stay until your fired or till the network pulls the plug.
I never got into CSI Miami, mostly because I don’t like David Caruso as an actor or his acting “style.” I find him to be very annoying and I wanted to shove his sunglasses down his throat. I had to turn it off, his acting makes me cringe, there wasn’t anything interesting about his character either. Don’t like the guy. My favorite character will ALWAYS be Gil Grissom and William Peterson. He was the reason why I tuned in every week. I found his character so interesting with all of his idiosyncrasy and Grissom being a forensic entomologist. I’d never saw a character like Grissom on a TV series before, he was private, married to his work, complicated, intriguing, he was a teacher, his hearing loss, very patient and an interesting character. I NEVER understood him getting married to Sara, they put them together and Peterson left the series. It just didn’t make sense, why they put them together if they knew he was leaving the series. But the character of Grissom stood out among a very large cast. My second favorite character was Mac Taylor and Gary Sinise. I had to stop watching the original series when they hired Ted Danson. Another actor I don’t like, nor do I think he’s a good actor. He grates on me. I don’t know another way to explain my dislike for him as an actor. He just seems so wooden as an actor and seems to know where the camera is at all times. Make sure they get the left side of my face… his good side. Danson didn’t mesh with the original cast that remained on the show. I just didn’t feel he connected with the other cast members. Love Greg Sanders too. I was upset when they got rid of the character Jim Brass. I like Paul as a character actor, his interesting to watch, his character was sarcastic, he made me laugh as did the character of Greg Sanders too. He made me laugh too. Trying so hard to fit in with the rest of the characters. He turned out to be a really good forensic investigator.
Horatio has a backstory. A dead brother painted as a dirty cop, both in love with the same woman except she met the brother first. An old flame from his time undercover. It may seem episode to episode that Horatio doesn’t have anything going on, but there’s a complex history that gradually unfolds.
Yet he came back for that awful reboot bad story line, bad casting ,even Grissom and sarah are sail, hope they kill it soon , stop watching that flop on the 3 episode midway....DIE CSI VEGAS BRING BACK RERUN.

David Caruso was horrible in CSI: in Miami. For 10 seasons he turned his shoulder and put on his sun glasses. Gary Sinise was rather boring.
