Both of these women are so amazingly strong and have such an amazing inner core of self awareness. They are so beautiful just based on that. They are the whole package-the real deal- unapologetic for who they are and what they stand for. Simply amazing.

I think I have an answer to the question roseanne poses: almost all of us positions of social privilege and are victims of oppression simultaneously. gay men have the male privilege of seeing and treating women as objects to be looked at for their aesthetic pleasure, just as roseanne has the heterosexual privilege of making sweeping generalizations about gay men, and using the stereotype of the catty, fashion-obsessed gay man, and having taken as fact. Wow Roseanne, way to be homophobic...so the gay men in the fashion industry who make women's lives more difficult cancel out all those who are not involved in that industry (which would be, oh, I don't know, 99% of us) and the nurturing and supportive roles we have played in women's lives. I mean, in a sense yes, we are not there just to support you, we have our own lives and our own interests, but just to devalue all gay men so dismissively is really ignorant.
