Off topic but whats the best way to acquire a trd sport hood for my trd off road? I've already done the rear bumper and grill but want to complete the look!
The manager at my local repair shop wanted my sport hood (scoop) and I wanted his non scoop hood. Easy trade. Just ask around if you see someone with the hood you want, you might be surprised.
I do have a 3rd gen so this could be totally different in my case but does this bumper interfere with aftermarket IFS skid? i noticed you showed the bumper connecting to where a front skid would connect. Or can they connect together...as one.....
@@Tacomaholic this shop is about 1hr away from me and thanks to your UA-cam channel and TW now I know about them. Looks like the newly approved stim check is going into a new bumper. thanks for the vids!! enjoy the weekend
@@Tacomaholic I did the plate version. Too bad we can't send pictures in the comment section haha. I decided to add a bit of pop of color with lime green shackles
As expected, great video. Nice. And I figured out what Hi-Lift "cutouts" were. I've heard the term twice now is as little as a week. Shipping cost isn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Yeah, I added everything, camera mount, dual swing with dual cans, led cutouts, shipping, then since it ships raw, doing my own painting. Total using their high shipping cost $2,010. I figure another $70+/- for the materials to paint (bed liner) it myself. The front shown in your video, even with the headlight hoops added is also a fantastic price! Both are as much as some rears alone. That's a hard sell for someone on a tight budget.
Hooke offroad has a cheaper option. Does not look anywhere near as good, and might not even be 3/16 plate, but cheaper lol. And their roof rack looks similar to prinsu (kind of) but way cheaper
Tacomaholic I know that was a terrible description lol. Maybe it just looks open in the front because mine is still stock with the air dam I HAVE to take off lol. I just don’t like seeing the mount and frame personally
@@michaeloud6044 You WANT it to be open like that to give you more clearance when going over obstacles while offroading, but also so larger tires won't rub there.
@@Tacomaholic No I totally get that and really wasn't trying to diss it at all! Mine is mostly light trails and road since it is also my daily so I'm not able to go to crazy with it. I do like the look of the bumper itself! I also went to the link you posted and they didnt have anything for the 16+ years bumper section, maybe a glitch in my phone but I definitely wanted to check it out.
For starters I'm not comparing cheap eBay bumpers with the quality stuff. Where did you get your ARB bumper? Everywhere I've seen has it priced around 1200.
Nice bumper but their customer service is non existent. They don’t answer emails and phone calls go straight to voice mail. If you could actually order a bumper you’d probably never get it and waste $800.

Thanks for your Service, great information. New TACO OWNER 2007 Dbl cab 90,000 miles. Unfortunately not a mechanical guy. Ready to learn
I picked up a Relentless front bumper for a really good price, b/c they needed to move inventory out. I will definitely look into BFF for my rear HC.
I love the BFF HC rear.
Definitely going to look into getting one of these

There are hood swap threads on Tacomaworld.

An aftermarket IFS skid will mount directly below where the middle of the bumper sits. Should be the same for 3rd Gens.
@@Tacomaholic groovy thank you sir

ARB weighs in around 180-190. W/O winch. Ended up needing to upgrade from the stock, to a heavier duty suspension afterwards.
I have been eyeing this bumper for some time along with their HC rear bumper w/ tire swing out........oh and sliders, cant forget those
Tons of great things to grab from Brute Force Fab. 😀
Just ordered front plate bumper and sliders. Very impressed with Brute Force's customer service this far
@@Tacomaholic Installed my Brute Force front bumper today....love it. Thanks for the great recomendation
@@lucaspowell8580 Sweet! Did you go with the hybrid or plate version?

Wow! Only 2/3rds as much as the competition. That's with all the bells and whistles.
Cool looking truck. Do they have 3rd gen stuff?
They've got rear bumpers available now but working on the front bumper.
@@Tacomaholic Cool, thanks
I'm on class break so I don't have the volume up did you unwrap your truck?
Lol no!
Tacomaholic never mind I saw the first little bit of the video and I assume it’s a friends.
@@michaelmishow7948 No this is my friend's Tacoma.
Damn you #Tacomaholic !!! Now I have to save up for a new bumper!!! And a trip to Clovis to have it installed. Grrrrrrrrr....
😀👍
Coastal Offroad is also an inexpensive option if you dont mind welding.
Cool company
They got the cheapest DOM sliders with kick out as well
All of their prices are amazing.

Even with the shipping to VA my front bumper was about $150 cheaper than anywhere else.

I'm only half way through but great video so far B! 🤙
Brian when are you getting a sport hood on your truck??
I've thought about it but would probably just go aftermarket in that case.
Tacomaholic I love the look of the sport hood it would definitely give a BOLD look😎
Most importantly, What is the lead time for these bumpers?
Lol long ... which seems to be standard for front/rear bumpers.
Thanks!

A lot of it looks really good! I don’t know if I like the open wheel well part though. I’ll have to think about this one but overall very nice!

Nicely done. Check your PO box later this week for Punisher stuff
is it vinyl rap again?
This is my friend's Tacoma which is also vinyl wrapped.
Ehhh, For starters my ARB bumper was cheaper (Brand New) than this one. Also there is a steel Ebay plate bumper that is much much cheaper than this.

No. Why would you think that?
Blue is the new orange 🤷♂️

no 3rd gen
