Nintariz none of their competition in the finals was good. A laker team, magic Johnson had aids, Byron Scott was injured. The trailblazers weren’t any good. Clyde Drexler, terry porter, and Kevin duckworth?😂 the suns had made the finals for the second time in 17 years. Who do they have? Barkley Kevin Johnson and Dan majerle? They’re not going to able to compete with the bulls. Then they beat the SuperSonics. Was their first and only finals appearance, just Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton. Then the jazz where Karl Malone and John Stockton were 35 and 36. Not very difficult. He never had to face the spurs who would beat you with their insane ball movement or the warriors super team.

Honourable mention from me: Derek Harper while he was with the Mavs dribbles out the clock (ala JR Smith) against the Lakers thinking they had the game won. Can’t remember the year but it was the 80s in terms of the decade. Game goes to overtime from that brainfade.
I thought it was Mark Aguirre who did that. It was in the 1988 Western Conference Finals....and to think that series went all way down to 7 games, it makes me think "what if....."

To everyone saying JR's should have been#1....drop it!! Isaiah Thomas' mistake was much much worse because:
1) J.R.'s mistake came in the heat of the moment, whereas Isiah's was off a dead ball.
2) It was no guarantee that if JR decided to shoot ge would had converted since he was guarded immediately after he grabbed the rebound, Isiah on the other hand threw a winner.
3) Even if Cleveland had won that game, their chances of beating Golden State in the series were still slim, however the Pistons and Celtics were tied 2-2 and had Detroit won that game they woukd had clinched the series at home on game 6.
Leave JR alone, Isaiah's mistake was much, much worse.

Vlade Divac rebounding the ball tipping it to Robert Horry @ the 3PT line during the final seconds of 2002 WCF Game 6. If that hadn't happened then the Lakers go home right there, no 2002 championship. Sacramento could have beat the 2002 Nets (eastern conf champions) easily in the Finals. That should be up there with the 2013 Ray Allen moment.
