Edit: To be fair, this is standard behavior in Appalachia (Appalachia is a region in the US that the entirety of West Virginia is part a of), doing random things when we're bored because there is literally nothing else to do. Source: I am also Appalachian.

I don't know why she didn't just setup a few power rails and a redstone timer. Have a minecart go back and forth to load the cobblestone into the minecart hopper and empty it into the treasure chest outside. Huge time saver.

Fiberglass rebar is made out of material that is highly flammable and its why that type of rebar is not legal to use in construction.
I did not know fiberglass rebar was even a thing.

3:11 it isn't uncommon for it to "rain" in tunnels. Depending on how deep you are and how humid the air is down their there can be more or less water dripping from the roof. That is because the tunnel walls and roof are colder then the air so the humidity condensates on the roof and drips down. However if it actually rains you are probably underneath a water reservoir wich seeps through the ground

I loved this video, I really like your presenting / delivery style, you could give Internet Historian a run for his money if you want to do more 'documentary' type content
most places I know of, in order to embark on a process like this you must submit a drawing to a certified engineer and get it signed off by them. That means at least the final state should be structurally sound (depending on the quality of her work) but it also must pass inspection which would hopefully catch whether her work is insufficient. In the mean time, because she's doing it herself, lots of safety labour laws probably don't apply to her so she is taking her life in her own hands (though you'd be surprised how much of that occurs even in professional environments)
I had no idea this lady existed and I have to say it's pretty mind boggling she'd be willing to take a project like that on. Something tells me she didn't know what she was getting in to

I don't know much about this stuff either, but my concerns are mainly proper ventilation and drainage. I know that at least back in the day, water and mines was a HUGE problem, that a large amount of the tunnel's infrastructure was dedicated to combating. And of course proper ventilation and air circulation. It's not like living in a house where you get (comparatively) fresh air coming in and going around all the time... This is a much enclosed space with smaller volume, volume that's taken up by things other than oxygen... like CO2 :/
And then of course maintaining it afterwards. What happens after it's built? Building something, and repairing/maintaining upkeep are somewhat different processes. Then there's the poor sod who has to move in afterward and has this massive DIY sinkhole-in-training under his house.
The "Sinkhole in training" is the biggest concern for sure. With the stop work in place, depending on the state of the ceiling its going to slowly erode. They are so lucky the earth there is so solid and didn't already have a cave in.

3:11 Ground water. Water gets everwhere and past a certain point in depth the ground water will be present. If you dug a hole say 10ft down and it started filling with water around 10ft you have hit ground water. Wells use it. It's not always there and if you go deeper still may or may not be an issue, but eh I am not an expert.

This is honestly super impressive and up to par from people from the south lol. Also, the rain in the tunnel is probably caused by high levels of humidity that condenses on the ceiling eventually raining back down when enough water collects.

Actually the people who said it was safe were her friends and they later admitted it was a fucking nightmare to where one of them almost died when a brace collapsed. From what I saw she is actually facing serious legal issues of seriously damaging the ground under neath about 9 people's houses. She is facing extremely serious legal issues and was kicked out of her house. Her house was seized by the HOA and its deemed too dangerous to enter until a proper team of experts can figure out if there is anything that can be done to safely fix the damages she caused. In reality she is actually looking at life in prison to the death penalty for her actions. She destroyed the ground underneath her entire neighborhood. Her entire neighborhood could collapse in a sink hole killing everyone in that neighborhood. What she did is so beyond insane that she literally belongs in a psych ward. A federal official actually twisted his ankle when attempting to go in and see what actual damage she has caused. She dug out ground underneath her entire neighborhood causing serious issues to the point that I would not blame them if they do end up executing her. She broke so many laws she is seriously looking at the death penalty.
