As always, your vlog/video was amazing. Seeing Tozeur brought back so many memories for me. It’s where I first opened my eyes to the world. My family is originally from Mahdia, but when I was born, my father was working as the director of Lycée Abu Kacem Chebbi in Tozeur, so I spent the first five years of my life there.
My first kindergarten, my first Hammam, my first barber visit, and even my first photo under the Tamaghza Falls with my mom-all of that happened in Tozeur.
Seeing it again is so nostalgic for me.
Thank you for bringing those memories back to life, and please keep up the great work! 🎉

For the signs on the side of the road: The color at the top of the milestone marker depends on the type of road you're taking (if it's national RED, regional YELLOW etc...), the names are of the main city straight up ahead (Tozeur and Tamaghza, each on a side, in this case) and the numbers indicate the number of kilometers left to reach that main city.

The numbers on the Highway Markers indicate the distance left (in Km) to reach the destination specified in that marker (Tamaghza, in this example)
The Top of the markers are not painted differently depending on the region. They are painted differently depending on the type of road you're traveling. I think it's like this
    - Red for highways and other national roads.
    - Greed for regional roads.
    - Yello for local roads.
    - Blue... I forgot what this one is for honestly 🤪

welcome to my homeland sadly i didn't meet you guys
the white houses with domes at 14:00 are actually more interesting and mysterious
its actually 7 altars / mosques built on top of 7 graves called ''el sabaa el rgoud " which means the seven deep in slumber
i think they were important and revered people or monks or smth
i remember going there as a kid it was a tradition long ago to visit the graveyard and make an offering like slaying sheep and feeding the poor with its meat (i was the poor lmao )
what made me tell you the story is that there are many other graveyards built like this and with the same name in different regions of tunisia and no one knows the truth or the exact history !!

05:55 Those markings is to tell drivers how far they are from the next city, Town, Or Village.
For example Tamazgha 47 means you’re 47 Km from Tamazgha.
It’s not just in Tunisia 🇹🇳 where you have those.
I’ve seen them in Morocco 🇲🇦 And saw them in my recent trip to Greece 🇬🇷
14:27 Just to take advantage of the water. they grow palm trees the highest then lemon or pomegranate trees then at the bottom you have onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes……
Mides, Chbika, And Tamazgha ( Tamerza ) Are all Amazigh Villages.

Maybe it comes to your mind why most man in tunisia they greeting the man more then woman like mansour just handshake u while valentine i wish i said it right with a hug. you can tell it’s a thing in our culture and it means the person is being very respectful for the man with you and you as a woman (good content and very very unique vibe love y’ll)
And we wish you both stay more ❤

Sorry for your loss 🙏 however the stones on highways are pinpointing the distance to reach the indicated city / village mentioned on it ... For example Tamaghza 74 means you still need to go 74 kilometers more to reach Tamaghza ... The colors indicates the type of the road you are on ... Red means national road / highway ... Blue means regional road ( if i can remember right) ... There also another number with a letter on either sides and it is the name and number of the road ... A1 , N 22 .... Etc ... Hope this helps ❤️ enjoy your stay at our country ❤️🙏😍

when valentines squeezed the lemon juice into the soup i was like yeah my man thats the only way to do it here haha ( btw thats shorba not mhamsa the grain is fine ground barley while mhamsa is traditionally made of small balls of ground wheat and flour but the broth is basically the same)
