Hey Tristan I love your videos! Can you please listen to Sara Barrios- Thank God You Introduced me to Your sister live? She is amazing and I wanted to see what your thoughts were. :) Thanks!

In "My little love" Adele recorded her conversation with Angelo (her son) before putting him to sleep. She was anxious to not tell her son anything odd for a 9-10 yo child, so she could check it later. And in the end of the song we can hear her voice, crying about her feelings, that was a voice-massage that she sent to her best friend. Imagine a 9-10 yo child hearing from his mother that she doesn't know what she is doing. I would be like how is that possible..
I love the fact that Adele closed this album with a fade out, especially with the line "I'll do it all again". It completed the journey throughout this album.
This isn't true, she said in her Zane Lowe interview that it she recorded To Be Loved in many parts and has only actually sung it all in one take, three times.
This entire album is an amalgamation from the sound of 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. She taps into country, gospel, R&B, Jazz, and her signature Adele style. She in an interview said she wanted to make music for her generation because in recent times they are very overlooked.

Omg, I love how you appreciate the art behind the album; this my favorite reaction of this album. People that are saying that they don’t like it is because they don’t know Adele music.
I imagine it’s only least streamed because it’s last in the album (and not super-hyped). Anyway, you’re not the only one who loves that song, it’s honestly a 10 out of 10 for me, it’s a perfect ending song. Also a pleasant come-down after the intensity of “To Be Loved”.
I want us all to go back to when she honored Beyoncé at the Grammys for Lemonade… she said she loved how vulnerable and open she was… how she made the album for US! Then… BOOM! She gave us her heart… broken and all. It’s so beautiful. Also… Tristan, thank you. This was the reaction I needed.

The song "my little love" is officially the single mama anthem. Had me bawling my damn eyes out! First time I heard it my daughter watched me cry and ran to grab a tissue to wipe my tears. That song is my whole heart as a single mom 💓
I started crying with both of them because I had a terrible day I cried this morning multiple times and the stream or the upload let's say hits different
I Drink Wine is my absolute favorite on this album! The whole album is amazing, but that song just resonates with me on another level. ❤️ She has said that the original version is actually 15 minutes long and I’d love to hear it! I hope she’ll release it some day!
Okay soooo "to be loved" may be a better song. I actually agree. However, i still think that "easy on me" should be the title track. Because im essence this album is a letter to her son to explain everything. Why she was a zombie, why mommy and daddy didnt live together anymore, why everything. Think of the beginning of an argument. Like when you know a fight is about to ensue. Shes basically saying "son listen....before you hear the rest of this, think me selfish, hear all the bad stuff i did and thought and all the regrets i have. Please. Go easy on me. I was just a kid." Its meant to be listened to at the top and probably is the song she wants him to hear at the beginning most. So i still think easy on me should be the title track even though i like to be loved more, also. Idk. Maybe its because i am also a mother who has made some mistakes. I know i have some tough confronations coming my way when they are adults. And easy on me is literally my anthem to them. I was 20 baby girl. Momma really didnt know any better.
When watching her interview with Zane the tracklist is actually put in real time everything she was feeling it throughout the process of her divorce which I think makes it that much more personal. She even said she didn’t write the album to have a ton of hits. She said in her interview with John Mayer that most of the songs were recorded on the first attempt because she personally wanted it to have that raw emotion and sound in it. I honestly think this is one of the most emotional albums I’ve heard in my lifetime. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and reaction to what I am going to say is one of the best albums.
i can not stop listening to this album. ever since it came out it’s been on repeat 🤍 my ranking rn: * my little love * oh my god * i drink wine * strangers by nature * to be loved * all night parking * love is a game * hold on * woman like me * cry your heart out * can i get it
Just watching this now. We've learned in interviews since that, for To Be Loved, she's singing to her son, explaining why she had to divorce. This makes it even more heartbreaking to me.
As soon as I listened to 30, I said it reminded me of 19 and that is my favorite one as well. It influenced me during a time when a truly needed it, which is what she does best. First Love... kills me. Love you btw!!
Will you listen to the bonus tracks? There are 3 more tracks that are not available on Spotify ("Easy on me" (duet), "Wild wild west", "Can't be together").
This Album is nothing like her other albums. It’s her most personal yet. It doesn’t sound “old”, of course it’s more mature; she’s older, gone through more crap…what would you expect🤷🏽♀️Adele is a real musician who makes music for herself, for the sake of music itself…not for genres, not charts, not cultures.
I’ve heard several people comment that the album sounds “old” and the way I interpreted that was that the album, stylistically, gestures to a previous era (I’m personally hearing a lot of Motown, 60s, and 70s). I didn’t interpret that as a bad thing though. She can gesture to these other eras and genres and still be a real musician who makes music for herself and for the sake of the music itself. Anyways, we may be in agreement lol, but I was just wondering how you interpreted comments on how “old” the album sounds?
Ahhhhh the way she says somewhere and care during woman like me is the bane of my life at the moment 🤣 its sooooo hard to sing, it's so relaxed and gentle but so hard 😭😫
Personally it’s a no skip album but this is my Ranking: 1. Cry Your Heart Out 2. I Drink Wine 3. Oh My God 4. Hold On 5. Can I Get It 6. My Little Love 7. Woman Like Me 8. To Be Loved 9. All Night Parking 10. Easy On Me 11. Love Is A Game 12. Strangers By Nature

I get the feeling she wrote this for herself because she needed to get it all out and in the genders she loves rather than what is expected. It’s almost a like it if you want but this is what I’ve made nd personally I’m loving it.
I'll never understand this! I have to talk for copyright purposes it's literally the law 😂 not only that but the album is free on spotify for anyone at any time they want lol
Greetings from the Czech Republic Tristan (do you know where it is? :D) I love your videos, all your analyzes are so well explained that even a non-professional understands. Thank you for that! :)
My personal review and rating of all the songs, and at the end a conclusion on the album as a whole. 1. Strangers By Nature - Great opening number. It feels like getting invited into another time. It's got a vintage feel to it. Like 50's or 60's. The background vocal harmonies kinda remind me of old Disney movies from way back. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an 8. 2. Easy On Me - This is obviously more of a classic 'Adele' song. But it still has nuances that make it different. Great melodically, great hook. In my opinion the 2nd best track of the album and was a great choice as lead single. I would give it a 9. Almost a 10, but there are some choices in arrangement I would have done differently. 3. My Little Love - A very personal track, all with the little snippets of Adele and her son speaking. It totally fits with the song. The song has a certain vibe. The melody of the track is amazing. You can feel the mood and vulnerability Adele was in. Great track, I give it a 9. 4. Cry Your Heart Out - This is a totally different track than all her work before. It's a little more up tempo, has a bit of a Reggae/Motown feeling. Reminds me of when Stevie Wonder was experimenting with a fusion of his sound and Reggae. Good groove, good lyrics. I give it an 8. 5. Oh My God - another 'new sound' Adele track. Of the top of my head I can't come up with any comparable music. I like it though. It's out of the box without sounding crazy, nice groove, good arrangement. Solid 8. 6. Can I Get It - also a 'new sound' Adele track. I would call it Adele's version of Flo rida's 'Whistle' in how it hits musically, with a little bit of Nelly's early stuff. Definitely some Hip-hop/Pop influences. It's up tempo, and she lyrically dives into a side we haven't seen of her(as far as I know). She is basically hitting on however this is directed at, and I love it. I give it a 9. 7. I Drink Wine - This is a very chill track. Just listening to this I picture myself chillin'. On the couch.. with wine... wink wink. Tempted to give it a 9, but its an 8 for me. 8. All Night Parking - Also a 'new sound' Adele track. This track is such a mood and for an interlude track it's surprisingly good. An 8, but could have been a 9. 9. Woman Like Me - Personally I think this is the weakest track on the list (sorry Tristan :P). Melodically and lyrically the least appealing to me. I would still give it a 7. 10. Hold On - This is an amazing song. Great lyrics, great melody. She's telling herself and the listeners to hold on. Love the message, really powerful stuff. If it wasn't for some arrangement choices at the end of the track, personally would not have gone with the choir at the end of the track, I would have given this a 10. But 9 it is. 11. To Be Loved - This is the apex of the album. Completely stripped down arrangement. Adele and the piano, nothing else needed. Strong melody, amazing lyrics. A 6 minute track that you never want to end. 10!!! 12. Love Is A Game - Good choice for a closing track. It feels like the track itself is telling you goodbye, and is closing out the album. Strong melody, good lyrics. Personally would have gone with a few different background vocal arrangement choices and maybe close out the track with a bang. It's an 8 for me, which could have been a 9. Album as a whole - As predicted: Adele knocked it out of the park. She didn't take the safe route. She swung for the fence and hit a homerun. A mix of some vintage Adele(which sounded amazing), but the majority was a new sound that pleasantly surprised, with a few gems between them as well.

Adele said in the apple interview that she is not going to sing to be loved live because it's super difficult even for her
it's difficult for her emotionally not vocally. She said she can't even be in the same room if someone is playing this song.
yeah its difficult for her cause she gets very emotional singing this

I love how you are just seemingly drinking Porto's wine and cry 😂What a mood (PS: congrats from Portugal)
