This really is a good figure to get if you don’t have the metal spirits version, and is far better than the full mechanics and hg. Though the hg and full mechanics aren’t necessarily bad, they need lots of love in order to make them shine. I really can’t wait to get one and compare it with my metal spirits

I think it goes without saying, but most fans are eagerly waiting for Bandai to release an MG ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus and MG ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex.

Expect some fan base doesn't like the design. Yes it's kinda wonky and like from an old machine on the old war. But for me it looks cool, like it's the first time the mobile suit has a realistic weapon which is not a beam. And the design of IBO seems like really cool..

What is the difference between the bandai universe and the regular bandai hg barbatos lupus rex?
@@sorafromgenshin the v-fin is larger and longer, the claws are more knife-like shaped, the thigh is more curvy than before, the tail doesnt have a wire unless you give it one, and gundam universe barbatos looks a little larger than the hg barbatos
Now, I prefer to buy model kits of a gundam but this is just screaming RAD!

Hey bro, if you see this, is the GU figure much bigger than the HG? Does it look too out of place next to other HGs, size-wise?
This is really good for the audience it's targeting; like me. I want an affordable toy that I can play with, something that holds up from all the stress of posing. While the MRS looks fantastic, it's designed primarily as a showpiece you put on your shelve and not something you touch very often. Not to mention the aftermarket prices. There is still a bit of model kit factor in that you can still add in details - if you want - like one would with a regular model kit. It's a shame that every model kit or toy of any of the Gundam Frames can never hold up that giant weapons without medical support but at this point, I'll take what I can get.

@@ohmywingz So I finally bought this little guy - along with the 00 Raiser - thanks to your video and I'm honestly quite impressed by it. It's a really solid and sturdy toy. The articulation isn't the most flexible but it does enough to look cool in poses and it gives you enough value for the price you pay. If you have a spare HG of the Rex, you could just take the copper wire from that kit and use it on this toy instead; which is what I've done. The only real issue I found on my copy is how tight the ball joint on the wrists were - pegging them in caused some stress mark so I had to sand them down for a snug fit. I had the opportunity to preorder this when it was announced but I'm glad I waited until more people had it in their hands for a better look. Again, thanks. :)

Even though it doesn't come with the wire take the piece to the hardware store and you won't have any trouble finding a length of wire that fits

All in all the figures great it could have used better hand joints so it can hold the weapon more dynamic and what did it really cost more to put a wire for the tail

Hm that is a tough one this definitely b/c it has the potential to be more detailed with panel lining. Only problem with this one there is not a wire. So you need to make your own!
I think the fact that they decided to go and change the wrists to make it easy to change so they’re not as tight, is a good idea but a stupid move on a figure like this. Idky they thought that a figure with a big ass mace would need loose wrists, it would make more sense on a figure that lets say only uses a beam rifle and beam saber like the unicorn 🤦♂️

Good question and no you would need a thicker wire like the full mechanic and need to glue that part
