@Darth Nutsack I’d be ok with a clone wars flashback or like “dark side cave vision” with him but I don’t want him and Obi wan fighting in the flesh that would break continuity

Exactly. If we go on that Scale, Obi Wan was probably a 4 in TPM, maybe a 5 by the end. He was a 6 or 7 by AOTC, and a solid 8 by ROTS, that is 1-2 levels in 10 years, and another 1-2 in the three years of the war. Anakin was already a 2 in terms of power in TPM, and jumped to a 5 in ATOC, and then almost 'Doubled' in the span of three years at 7-8 (I think he was 8 when he defetead Dooku, like Theory said) and jumped to 9 when he became Vader. That is another level just within a few months.

I think as far as the levels what he is saying is Anakin almost maxed out his light side potential and when he added new knowledge of the dark side to his extensive knowledge of the light side he could level higher. Probably the same reason Windu was so powerful as well. He had knowledge of both dark and light side with his light side powers probably close to maxed out.
Anakin was a level 9 along with sidious and yoda. Mace was a level 8. I believe Nick Gillard said Anakin was on the higher end of level 9 as a lightsaber duellist.
Wouldn’t Mace also be a 9 tho? He beat Sidious because of vapaad but still, Mace is always shown being at a level higher than that of Obi (imo) and if Obi is an 8 mace is for sure a 9.
I binge watched these when they came out when I was 16. I was also at the midnight showing in Denver, Colorado in a blue bath robe and my Master Replicas Anakin lightsaber. Those were some great times!
he became so much more powerful as vader than if he would have as anakin.. strife and constant failure is what makes vader so powerful. he learned true discipline and his will became unbreakable.
@C man Man his connection with the force was only temporarily hampered. anakin got dismembered by a far weaker obi wan. vader defeated the most powerful sith to ever exist in 10 seconds.
I like this power scale, I don't know about EPII but he did last longer against Dooku than Obi Wan, on his second try that is, so despite his aggression he was better when it came down to raw fighting, in EPIII I'd say Anakin was an 8 perhaps 8.3 while defeating Dooku but went to 9 while Obi was an 8 during the entire movie
Jedi can get to the same level as sith, it's just that the sith (darkside) is quicker. But with the quickness of getting there there's arrogance and a feeling of invulnerability (from the power) which ironically can lead to mistakes that "lower power" Jedi can take advantage of. Just my take

Hey guy i just saw that video that someone was questioning your channel. Good that you replied back. I saw this on black jedi video and say you and him are great.
@Star Wars Theory When the fight choreographer is saying Anakin is now a "9", he's refereeing not to force power level but to the sword fighting skill of the individual. He talked about it in one of the earlier behind the scenes episodes im pretty sure. There are two separate level systems, one for Force Power and one for Saber Skill. That's why you're getting confused I think with the whole level thing.
This has always been one of my favorite segments for the Making of Revenge of the Sith material. In terms of Anakin and Obi-Wan, I don’t know about Lucas’ words from the original films, but I feel that with Nick it really shows the progression in overall ability that Anakin achieved over the course of the Clone Wars. And I think that we really forget that he was just finishing his teenage years the first time he faced Dooku on Geonosis, which is why here in Episode 3 he so thoroughly achieves a victory. Arguably his performance against Dooku in Episode 2 was already superior to Obi-Wan’s. So here he’s much, much better all around. Then there’s his own words of “my powers have doubled” lol which yeah are arrogant, but also probably accurate. Then, of course, Obi-Wan is just like Anakin; a war hero and Jedi Council member now who is at the peak of his abilities. At this point Obi-Wan has for sure surpassed his own Master, Qui-Gon, and through fighting the same battles as Anakin over so many years has managed to make his own style more fluid and complete. So, we can see how they mirror one another while still taking different paths. And then the idea that the Dark Side fills Anakin with maybe this newfound power or ability to let himself go, which leads to his downfall via a lack of control, is just excellent Imo. Because that of course brings us back to where Vader was during the original films. This kind of brutal but effective giant who doesn’t move as fast per se, but is still super effective at what he does.
I never thought Hayden was a bad Anakin or Vader. He was the reason Anakin is my favorite Jedi of all time. I’m so happy he’s returning!

Obi-Wan: "High ground beats the power!"
Hey guy i just saw that video that someone was questioning your channel. Good that you replied back. I saw this on black jedi video and say you and him are great.
"I watched these for hours as a teenager"
"This is the first time I hear about this"
Well he either has forgotten some of the stuff in these documentaries or he’s just lying for some reason?
@@skywalkerorder2170 don't know, I just thought it's funny :D
Nobody:
Anakin's power level
Me: IT OVER 9000!
I thought Ian and Sam did a great job in their lightsaber fight.
That's why you're getting confused I think with the whole level thing.
yerdiknow i had to be early to a Theory DVD video 😩
Glad this series is back Mr. Theory
The fact that they had to slow down the fighting scenes....
LITERALLY LIKE THE TALENT 😍🤩
Vid said you DON'T have to go to the darkside to reach level 9 but it will make it happen faster if you do.
God. the revenge of the sith had such a fire cover. My childhood 🥺
