Fredricktown Missouri! Not from there but born and grew up within 25 miles! Been there many times! A nice town then! Pray it still is! Loved the pictures!

I was born and raised in Fredericktown. I made this video because a few people requested it. I'm really glad it brings back memories for everyone. The old town has changed A LOT. Most of it still recognizable. Although the old middle School by the town pool was burnt down by a student (possibly multiple students, not sure if more than one was involved or not). But a lot of it for the most part has remained the same.

Previously Angels Band I read on here where they said it is said what it has become! Is the town square still there? Fredricktown I guess is not much different from many small towns in southeast mo! It’s just so many cared a few years ago!

My church camp was here till it got hit by a tornado in the late 90s and unfortunately had to be auctioned off but I've looked it up on Google Earth and it looks like the old outdoor sanctuary is still standing! The castor river ran through it. That's where us city folk learned all about crickin. It's always been my sacred spot I would love to visit it again one day

I love my hometown it's just sad what it became. I know the town is suffering, just spent 1,000,000 on a darn baseball field, now the fundings have all gone. I honestly wish I could be mayor someday, just imagine converting the town back to its former self just like in the 50's. We could make so much money off of tourists funding and never really worry too much again about the towns funding/Economy.

Honestly it's become a retirement town and the parts that actually have younger people are covered with drugheads.

My brother among many other young men have died under very suspicious circumstances in that town over the past 12 years (just that we know of). It’s sad because I grew up there & really enjoyed my childhood up until my brother was killed. After that & upon becoming acquainted with the sheriff’s department, it put a dark stain on that town in my mind. I truly hope that one day that town can be a positive place to live & again be safe for it’s children. Kids shouldn’t have to worry about things like that.
