I’m just awe struck by the intensity of Texas storms. I don’t think losing the pond is the end of LHLs. It’s an opportunity to rebuild it correctly strong and secure. I’m praying for all of you. You Texans are a bloody tough bunch. I can really see how much those horses appreciate your comfort and love and concern. You being with them truly eases their hearts.
I get what you say but this isn’t just the pond they’re losing acreage to erosion faster every year. This isn’t good and it’s not stopping. What do they do? Wait until there’s no driveway and a building dangling on the edge of a collapsing cliff?

my mom side of the family lives in Texas my mom and my dad and my brothers and my cousins and nieces and nephews on my maternal side live down there in East southeast Texas and Northeast Texas. I live there during the 80s 90s and early 2000s and often on in the 70s. the weather has always been extreme in the gulf You’re on the gulf. it’s not new. It’s just it haven’t seen it a lot but it’s happened before it’s nothing new people forget that things happen before they were born. Now the flooding down at his families area yeah that’s happened because of that concrete and all that in the new neighborhoods has displaced water. Houston’s had that for years when they were building all those apartment complexes all over the place. Luckily, they have done some work. I mean it still floods there and it’s gonna still flood there. My mom was born in Louisiana. She has family Louisiana. My first husband was from his family was from Louisiana. The weather gets crazy down there. It just does. It’s because of where they’re at. The storms have always been pretty intense.

9 inches here in Tallahassee Florida last night, this after 3 VERY destructive tornadoes that tore through our city last friday. Have NEVER seen such devastating weather events in my entire 60 years of life..................
Please do not stall them!! Horses are panicking very easily and with these power lines- you dont know if the stall beginns to burn. Everything is possible in this weather. GOOD LUCK to all of you!!!🙏🙏🙏
My Aunt just got their electric back about an hour ago in Humble. Their home in Belville had large tree fall into their house and tore all the electric lines from the house. Thank God my 80 year old momma and 97 year old Nanny are good in Sealy. My family members live all over Houston area, Conroe.
What a horrible thing to say. Mother Nature takes but she also provides. With each rain comes renewal. That renewal may not be what a person anticipates but humans chose to place ourselves in certain paths. Everything has a teaching.

Just a thought here; Can you put a drainage pipe underneath the dam to that the water from the pond will flow into the overflow and not over the damn? People have done it up here in the north, under their driveway and streams on their properties to help. Like I said, just a thought.
