I purchased this set a couple of years ago [not the 2.0...the first iteration]. I wonder what is different...? Anyway...I like them, except that, like you, I use pretty much only the smaller sizes. I broke one. Ugh...the shop I bought them at was across the country, so I contacted ChiaoGoo...they were MORE than helpful with a replacement. I do feel a slight hitch with some yarns at the join using the swivel cables, so I do prefer the red lace cables.
I've heard that ChiaoGoo is great about replacing needles that break, so that's very good to know! From what I understand, the changes in the 2.0 set include the smaller tips in carbon fiber instead of the wood, and the inclusion of the twist fixed small cables in addition to the swiv360 ones. I think that's the only difference!
Whilst this set looks nice and is well presented, $600 AUD is a lot for a set of needles. I do have a couple of sets of Chiao goo, as well as having purchased some sizes separately, as well as various length cables. I would need to do some math to figure out whether this would be worth it for me. Like you I rarely use the larger sized needles. Thank you for showing us the unboxing 😊
Wow, what a nice set!
I'm trying out the size 6 needles with the swivel cords today and I'm liking them!

@@HeatherStorta cool...yeah...I don't remember getting the extra red lace cables with the set. Definitely a good addition!!
They look quite nice.
I'm liking the smaller ones that are carbon, and the swivel cords. Haven't tried the larger wood needles yet!

It is a pricey set, for sure!
