Here we go now... begin the fence finale!! Cold dips on really hot days

Hey Y'all!! Welcome back to our slow garden channel. It is only going slow because there is just 2 of us to build it. Starting fresh over 40 y'all!
Just another Day in the Life :) Work work work!! .. because no one else will be doing it for us lol.
Entering Summertime this year means cutting down trees and putting up a new fence between other projects. This summer so far been reaching temps in the high 90's, this particular day we hit 103* F!!! Holy moly!! Had to pull out a water trough and scrub it up for a cold dip tank it was so hot. It was really nice to be able to cool the body down after a hot day. Will be doing more of that mid-day as well from here on out lol. I do miss having our little swimming pool. I'll get another one. I'll probably have to put up a cover or roof or shade sail above it to protect water from being polluted with bugs, their poop as well as the plethora of Pollen been pouring out of the trees plus all the leaf debris.
So many of our trees are crooked and appear to be slowly dying, many standing with zero leaves on them already dead. It is just a matter of time before many of them fall on their own. We would rather have a say in where they fall if possible. Looking at these woods that surround us, we rarely see a branch hanging lower on these trees like we used to see as kids, a branch worth climbing anyways. No branches for swinging or climbing at all. The bugs and disease and drought over time really have done a number on this mainly Oak Forest space around us.
Clearing and creating a front yard Gardening/Permaculture area, living within the Manistee Forest in Michigan, to create our little piece of paradise. A staycation. Really building this up with our bare hands to start these first few years, using what we have where we are.

Patience .... Here's to hope - Hope we can get it all in the ground and start to enjoy it before our hands fall off and our backs are completely broken. ha.

I have fallen behind, working to keep these videos in order, to compare in the future, as the trees come down, the yard changes and the garden progresses.
I'm excited for what is to come. Raised garden beds to be moved into the front yard area still, when the space is cleared ... We have started planting for permaculture, slowly, as we can - without putting it all in harm's way with tree felling ongoing. Hoping to have a few more upcoming videos while I have some down time this winter.
