Great review. Answered almost everything I wanted to know before buying...which I think I will. My main concern is how well it cuts light flimsy branches when trimming a spruce tree?

Calvin, great review, I love mine, the rear handle/ bumper is a real plus point for me, one of the reasons I chose the husqvarna over the stihl, same with the pole hedge trimmer.
I must admit I don't use the save mode that said I'm running the 300 battery. The polesaw is very good on battery usage.
You realise I'm going to have to do some timed cuts with save and normal mode now!
I think a battery pole saw is actually more handy than a petrol one, often you want to cut a few limbs, pull the fallen branches away or stand back and have a look. No constantly starting like with a petrol and lighter to hold.
I guess if you had forgotten to charge the battery the save mode could be quite handy.

I'm glad to see thois comment, I'm trying to decide between this and the Stihl HTA85. Does the 300 battery last way longer then?

Thank you very much for the video I’m getting one on November 12 that’s when it comes in. Can’t wait to try it out

You must sharpen the chains! Only sawdust! And it takes several times longer than normal. Those tiny branches are cut off in 2 sec with a sharp chain

Badfinger founder Pete Ham and Ron Griffiths were both from Wales. I enjoyed watching your video. How long is that pole saw end-to-end?

Calvin, have you ever used one of their harnesses to help balance out the weight of this saw? At 60 and a woman that's going to be a necessity for me, but I can't really sort out which harness they sell would be best. I can just ask their salesman, but curious to know if you've ever used one and what you thought of it? Many thanks for this thorough review!

Hi Noel. The book says with this battery. On normal mode pruning 50 mins. In save E mode on pruning 90 mins. I didn't run out of battery when i was testing it. Cheers Calvin

I have a bli300 battery, 9ah so the biggest non back pack battery.
The pole saw uses very little power, I've never managed to use more than 2 bars of battery sawing.

530ipt5 chain was blunt in 5 mins cutting dirty bark branches. Anyone know if a Tungsten Carbide chain is available for these?
