lol I pinned myself from this move, had him on his back but I pinned myself. (I was winning 10 - 0 as well). After I don't wanna talk about it since I tried to fight the kid after and lost my temper from it. But I was a youngling.

you can, but it's not as tight. knock your opponents head inside and it makes it a lot easier. This is a really good move for your longer, lankier wrestlers.

i've seen a spladle where someone kind of tripped the other dude with the leg thats hooked on the opponent's leg, and fell forward into a spladle. Does that way have less risk that falling backward?

  • @akryan11

Make sure you don't just try to roll over. Notice how the kid throws his left leg in, just like any throw, before he takes him back. Hips in makes this work. The difference is that this has to be sort of slow as opposed to the explosiveness that you'll use in a throw. Nice thing about this move is that there is a lot of margin for error. Even if you don't pin him, or even get back points, you'll get out of the takedown and be in a decent scramble position.
