That shrine was surprisingly well maintained. Nice to know that people still visit there and its still in use. But that Hall, we love a good ruin, abandoned places just have this amazing eerie feeling
Thanks so much for watching you guys 🤗 We really loved it here, deffo one for you guys to have a wander around when you head back to the UK we reckon 🙂✌️ (apparently it's haunted, don't go at night) 👻
Another great video, I really enjoyed it, love the historical facts, I find that really interesting, some lovely scenery round there and lovely to see little Pupper enjoying himself too, thank you for sharing, love and hugs to you both and a fuss for Pupper 🤗♥️♥️♥️xxxxxxx
Hi Hay and Kyle, having moved to the Peak District two years ago, we are loving your videos! You have given us so many ideas for weekend walks. The photography is amazing and I personally love Hay's practical info, her car parking advice has saved us hours of driving around looking for places to park, thank you! We have visited Errwood Hall today and thought it was amazing, we wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for your videos. Keep up the good work!!!!
Great video, a place I recommend to people from time to time, it's a stunning location in springtime, the whole area is covered in colourful rhododendron flowers, I've walked and cycled all around there up as far as the cat and fiddle pub on the main road, it's been great to hear more of the history of the place, really enjoyed this one.
Fantastic video 😊 I'm so glad that you have finally made a Goyt video. So good to see this place from your perspective. Thank you as always for the shout out.
@@HayandKyle I need to take you to see some more of Goyt, there really is a lot a of great stuff to see. You absolutely smashed it with this Errwood hall video however 👍👍👍
👍👍👍😁 Great video you two. Loved the aerial shots of the old Hall and nearby forest plus the reservoir. It's a beautiful area and gas a feeling all of its own. Lots of history in that area, good and bad sadly. But a fascinating area to hike as you rightly said. Short walks to very long alday and more hikes.. 😁 Nice to see you both back on home turf 👍😁
thank you for this video Hay & Kyle, good to have you back in the UK! Only been to goyt valley once but after seeing this, I realise I should go back - excellent as usual :)
Aww another great video, the shrine from the outside looked like Hagrids home from Harry Potter, very different inside though, very sweet: I felt really sad that the home was demolished and they’re all buried there, my husband and I are definitely going to go and check it out. Thanku both xx
Hi Kyle and Hayley, as much as I enjoyed your 3 videos on Iceland, I must say it is nice to see you filming in a much less harsh weather environment. You sparked my interest on Errwood Hall and not knowing much about it, will try to learn more on the internet. Glad you showed the burial area of the family and it is nice their final resting place was near where they lived. Always enjoy the interesting facts that you bring out in each of your videos.
Great vid and good inf, I've done quite a few walks in the goyt valley, there's a lot more to see yet 😉 and a few trig's to bag, we'll worth making some more vids from the goyt valley 👍
Thanks Graham, yeah it's one of those we've kept meaning to do after Thom Topics recommending it to us, glad we did head up that way, looking forward to seeing more of the Goyt Valley 👍😊
Hi guys we can see why it would be a good place to do a Paranormal episode 👍 looks a bit spooky can imagine at Halloween it gets busy with paranormals!
Really enjoyed this latest video. The history of Errwood Hall is fascinating. I love that sort of stuff! Loved all the little add on bits and pieces such as nature shots and it was nice to see little Pupper out and about too. Loved the last bit to your video too. So funny! 🤣 Think we'll have to try that walk sometime. Thanks for sharing and already looking forward to another adventure with you. Lots of love Mutti ❤️🥰
The outtakes are one of our favourite bits 😂 got to introduce prince pupper every now and then! Thanks Mutti glad you enjoyed this little history piece 😅❤️ xxxx
We think perhaps from the car park from the other end near Errwood Hall as the route should be a lot shorter! But perhaps not the route we did down from the shrine to the hall the track was thin in some spots! It's a great exploration ☺️🙌
Thanks for lovely walk guys!❤ Last year we were there nearby, walked along the route through Cats Tor and Shining Tor (absolutely amazing views around!) I regret now that we didn't look at Errwood Hall, we will have to come back again😊👍
@@HayandKyle all good down on the banks of the Mersey...out and about to New Brighton promenade and Anthony Gormley's other place on Crosby shore...cheers....E...
I love coming to this part of Goyt Valley, and doing the walk up to Shining Tor too. Not sure about any more ruined houses in the Peaks (if your out the other side of Manchester check out Rivington Terrace gardens) but if you are after historic bits and bobs check out the Torrs and Millenium walk way at New mills (dog friendly bar at the Shrub club) or maybe the chimney at Danebower quarry which can be done in a walk from Three shires head where criminals used to out run the constables by dashing from country to county across the stream to escape the jurisdiction of whichever county was in pursuit
Thank you for bringing back so many memories of this beautiful place...did have a lump in my throat at one point as this was my dad's favourite place and somewhere up on the hills, his ashes will be scattered (we sadly lost him 3 years ago) loved it! Perfect Sunday evening viewing ❤️
Hi Jenny thanks for watching, was lovely to see your pictures of it on Facebook back in the day 😊 sorry to hear about your dad, that sounds like a wonderful idea ❤️
Fantastically filmed and at a nice gentle pace & excellent views over the Goyt Valley and fascinating about Errwood Hall properly makes you go back in time and although a melancholy story the demolition was re-purposed in the reservoir. Great seeing it in the snow and those icicles - Stunning Keep them coming I look forward to seeing it myself.
We thoroughly enjoyed Errwood Hall, any recommendations for anything similar?? Comment below! 👇✌️

@Hay and Kyle thanks 😊
Really interesting video. That shine is beautiful and Erwood Hall is fascinating. The family probably had death taxes to pay so cheaper to demolish it
