I would consider buying one, but I'd be very concerned about whether or not it'll be able to handle 150 fps modded Nerf blasters without breaking.

@@Truongster yes, but a Nerf dart has considerably more mass than a gel ball, and it doesn't shatter on impact, meaning that it has much more energy when it hits the target, and more of it gets transferred into the target. You're trying to compare apples to oranges by saying that.
Now THAT is another concern. My modded Saturn, Tomcat and Aeon might be a big no no.

Is there a game mode where the region to be shot spins in a circle, which sort of tests your ability to hit a moving target?
NERF had a LigjtUp tringular target. This blows it out of the water, in alotta ways. The only thing it's missing, is the ability to physically combine multiple targets, which doesn't add much.
If it shot GelBalls back at ya, it'd be alot like WhatEver the brand of LaserTag ToysRUs used to sell, was.

Yeah I thought same. I thought you shot it and it would copy the direction from the hit and another portal far away would imitate the shot in the same direction.

need a dueling tree mode, use two targets linked together, if player A hits target A in zone one, zone one of player B's target changes to player A's color, the players try to make all five zones of the target their color to win

I can buy 10 but with the lack of actual video making me debating to buy 4 or 6. He is saying up to 6 targets so how many can you actually sync them together? on your website it saying "several" so how many is that?

I like this! Another one for my target collection.
I got a huge slab of construction styrofoam with a collection of my targets hanging on it. The huge slab of styrofoam is so I dont drive my neighbors crazy shooting my wall lol. The nerf electronic target is meh, the target basket is good, I got one for sticky darts, I have mini shelves with the x-shot cans, the off-brand electronic target I have is great...but this portal is taking it to the next level!
Want to find out how well this works with darts.

I don't see any option to buy one on its own without way more extra stuff, and I don't see anywhere on the website where they talk about whether it's suitable for foam ammo and what its joule limit is.
I like the idea of interactive targets, but I need a lot more information.

You could use it as chestplate to be a live counter
Say, I know it would make a lot of people frustrated with me if I suggested random critical hits, but in the Defend mode you wanted, I suggest adding a way to perform a critical hit against a target. Maybe by hitting the target in certain points in a specific way? I’m not sure, but it would be a rewarding option to allow players to wipe out a team much faster if they were more accurate.
Does it work well with 200 fps+ blasters such as Sillybutts Cynthia?
Protip: don't shoot it it with a pro nerf blaster, or do it, i am not your mom
^ this is a great product indeed it opens the doors for amateur target practice/ accuracy timing 👍🏼 friendly for indoor use and easy to clean up since the balls break on impact so just pack the rifle away and your good to go
- one mode I'd like to see would be something akin to the CQB wetworks in call of duty 4
Maybe having mutiple portals set around your home and have them track your time on how fast you can clear the building and how accurate your shots at on target - have the portals set up in different positions around each room to give various situations and have the app take down your best time for each lap you clean the building - make it a solo or duo experience by either having the target be one single target or half them (all one colour or half&half for mutiplayer)
^this would be great and fun 😅😅I could imagine some of the dedicated nerf/blaster play zones could implement them too for party's and activity days apposed from shooting one another 😅

does not work well with dart blasters mine kept disconnecting from the phone when id hit it with the nexus pro maybe a less powerful one would work.
Plug it into an external battery via USB and it won't disconnect.

July 6th, 2024 edit: They somehow reverted the software to version from a year ago, so now the app and targets are useless. Again. Don't buy this product at all. I'm done.

Android users beware, app straight doesn't work. As in, you can't connect the Portal to it at all, even after an update. It's been this way at least 3 weeks

Can I use this with an airsoft gun instead of a gel gun?
Does the gel blaster portal target have a speaker or does the app make a sound when you git the target? Otherwise it's just relying on the visual lights which is sort of dumb.
