The true supermodel era died in the 90s with Amber, Shalom, Kate, Guinevere, Alek Wek, Angela Lindvall, etc. closing the era. All this is really funny to read, post-Kendall Dipshit Jenner talking about how annoying it is being a famous working model because she has to, you know, work a lot. These girls just don't count! The true supermodel era died in the 90s with Amber, Shalom, Kate, Guinevere, Alek Wek, Angela Lindvall, etc. closing the era. The next wave of proper supermodels ended with Gisele, Carmen Kass, Karolina Kurkova, Liya Kedebe, Eugenia Volodina, Natalia Vodianova, etc. The next wave of supermodels was almost entirely Brazilian Victoria's Secret Angels and it's sort of remained that way for a while. Big money modeling strayed from high fashion and went full commercial. These "Instagirls" now are just rich kids on a free ride occupying their free time. Nothing like the 90s/early 00s women who actually appreciated their status after working from the bottom up.
