    The last thing the FED should do is start cutting rates. If anything, it needs to raise them to double digits. 😳

      Powell FINALLY did what he should have done a year earlier...but, what about the other side of the inflation equation of fiscal policy? Did sniffy Joe Biden decelerate or more appropriately, reduce government spending? NO, THAT SOB HAS 1/2 OF THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR REDUCING INFLATION, but, he poured GASOLINE on the fire and shirked his responsibility onto the Fed. That in itself is a TREASONOUS offense.

      They should cut his pay to zero if he cuts rates. The world needs double digit rates like Mexico and Brazil. All the money and retirees are flooding to Mexico to earn double digit interest rates as well as in an appreciating currency.

    FOX Host: So what about tax cuts?
    Me: what about *SPENDING CUTS?*
    I swear, people talk and talk about cutting taxes, but taxes pay government spending and neither Trump nor Biden want to cut government spending in any way, shape or form.

    • @Answers721

      Nobody wants to cut spending. The only reason America has a great credit score is because America month after month, year after year, decade after decade, has not missed a debt payment. Banks will continue to loan money to a moron as long as they are making monthly debt payments.

      Government would have to reduce spending by 25% just to break even on current spending levels without adding debt. They wouldn’t need to cut even deeper just to stop the debt clock from ticking upward. It’s completely possible to reduce spending, however, no one would want to reelect the people who are cutting to another term to getting America on a path to keep our country going.

    I am really good with numbers and when I went to the supermarket this week, there were few deals and it seemed as though prices had creeped up across everything. The only sales were on overly processed food. Meat was over the top expensive. One store Karns had select cuts of beef at $20/lb. While my wallet can sustain this, it has to be hitting the average family hard.

    If government overspending and who is willing to stop it isnt brought up at the debate I give up on this government. These mega cap companies need to be broken up to create competition to bring prices down like they did with the old Ma Bell during my grandmas days. Small businesses, the ones who pay the minimum wages, have as little cash as the consumer and cant afford them to keep raising wages. We need to bring the prices down through competition instead so everyone can afford to live and not just decimate jobs.

    I think the government should end the War on Drugs and use much of the money that would go into law enforcement to instead use it to fund drug rehabilitation, research, and education programs and tax and regulate the sales of illegal drugs while ending income tax and replacing it with more sales taxes on consumption. Everyone consumes but not everyone makes income, there will always be consumption no matter what's going on with the economy.

  • @ryaj2356
    @ryaj2356 8 днів тому

    Okay. Problem is our government needs to slash yearly spending by 25% just to stop the debt from ticking upwards. After they do that, it’ll need to cut more just to begin paying off debts. However, you can’t cut spending on interest payments and it’s one of the biggest items in the budget now. So that 25% overall spending cut would have to deeply cut in all other selections of government. Education, defense, and all that other trash spending we waste on could be cut for all I care and paying off debts is more important but we know both parties won’t be making major cuts and completely gutting programs won’t be a thing so we are doomed.

    So it's wrong for the president to claim student loan reduction cost will be paid for by some cuts or increased consumer discretionary spending but it's always OK to lie and say tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations will pay for themselves. In fact these tax cuts have never paid for themselves in the last 40 years of claiming they would and have directly led to much of the deficit and growing wealth disparity. It's all in your prospective and who you want to serve not in actual fiscal responsibility.
