It would be so nice if the queue times were also displayed in the "Attractions & Shops" park management tab (or maybe in a heatmap). I think managing wait times is one of the (if not the) most important challenges when it comes to theme parks, as this highly influences the guest experience. Thus, it would be soooo helpful to have an overview on all the actual queue times at once (and not having to click on each ride individually).

The unloading in PC1 was really frustrating. Guest loading had to wait until all guests walked through the exit gate before they could get onto the ride. Really held up lines bad

@@olicoastersthere aren’t any really dark options in the original. I had to watch a video on how to like change some of the code to change the ui to black
Thank you so much for the text sizing options - as a vision impaired gamer it is fantastic. Also, as a management player I love all the added elements. So excited for the game.
I'm disappointed that yall focused way too much about power/engine and staff zones rather then fixing the stations and make a transfer/maintanace area to load / unload trains when it gets busy.. its way more needed and realistic..
You mean that it would be nice to have people waiting in their assigned positions in the dispatch area rather than only entering the platform when the roller coaster train arrives?
Well, to be fair, they other stuff is important for a management overhaul. But I agree they should have had a similar overhaul to guest behavior, which it doesn't look like they have so far
Yeah anyone who has worked at a park knows those are the least fun part of the park management tbh, and for those who just visit theme parks and get excited by them, the power grid aspect is kinda out of the picture. That’s more of a city builder thing. But everyone wants to get behind the control panel of a rollercoaster. Check restraints. Move the big thing. LOVED using the control panels in NoLimits to open the gates and dispatch the train and all that stuff. I guess that’s why there’s a difference between a simulator and a management game, but I do hope someday we’ll get the best of both worlds
Hey not calling you dumb or anything but it’s a THEME park simulator, not a ROLLERCOASTER simulator. Why would they put all their effort into a single niche part that appeals to a niche playerbase zawg. Its great that they are putting effort into the actual simulation of the game that appeals to the general audience
Love the addition of the heat maps, however, it would also be nice to have an option to toggle a heat map when placing different rides/shops, so you can quickly see where those rides/shops might already exist in your park (Basically how the heat map works for utilities, but also adding that to rides/shops).
What's a bit strange is why, as a park operator, you have to produce your own electricity (and water) using generators or solar panels. In real life, most parks get their energy from the grid. 20:59
It’d be cool if weather affected the operations of rides like in real life. Like a thunderstorm comes and all of the outdoor coasters have to shut down, but dark rides can still operate. Sadly doesn’t look like that’s the case :/ Also would be nice to see more interesting variations of ride breakdowns
The UI looks wonderful, and so what if they are making it better for consoles? They added it to consoles, the previous games UI didnt transfer well and is honestly just too much unneccesary info
They even introduced different food variations with no gluten or meat for the guests needs. We are talking about Planet Coaster here, this is a new level of detail!🤯🤩
Hmm, I'm not sure if I like that the UI seems more optimized for console, but the game itself looks really fun. I like the idea of having restrictions in different zones. I can imagine that feature can give you lots of depth. I also like the heat maps! It gave me an idea. In some parks you have kiosks with a prompt in certain areas where they try new things where you can push one of three buttons with a frown, a meh face and a smile. It might be fun in addition to the heat maps to get even more insight by placing these kiosks in your park at strategic locations. I'm thinking these could have pre-made prompts like "how do you like the scenery in this area" or "Is this section exciting enough for you?", stuff like that so you can manually do in-depth 'research' into your park if you want to. Keep up the good work!
Oh damn, the other staff come in male and female as well now? Nice! Loving all these improvements, especially the guest needs heat maps. ❤ There's some other things I'd love to see though. • Ride photos and a photo vendor that sells them. Frontier, you have finally built in track elements for roller coasters for Planet Coaster 2, and I secretly hope that as many of these elements as possible will be found on as many coasters as possible. Then please build in a kind of station track as one element, where only people can get off, so that the train drives into the station empty and can be loaded straight away. As a realistic example: Taron (LSM Launched Coaster) - Phantasialand in Brühl, Germany.
I just wanna say, I (And most of the comminity) am erally exited for this game! It looks so good, I got the deluxe edition pre-order practically right away
I’d love to see an option for the park to close at night and for the guest/most staff to leave overnight, where maintenance/cleaning could be done. And an option to play slower timescale
Understood! Would be nice to have people waiting in their assigned positions in the dispatch area rather than only entering the platform when the roller coaster train arrives. Waiting at the airgates could make the whole boarding process smoother and quicker. 17:51
Not waiting until departing guests have fully left the platform would do leaps and bounds for coaster throughput. I cant think of any real coaster that operates this way. They'll even dispatch them with guests on the platform so long as they're behind a saftey line.
It would be really cool to have an employee mode where you can work as an employee on the attractions. Check the seats etc. and start the roller coaster. Control the attraction (for example Top Spin or Free Fall Tower).
Thank you so much for this deep dive. I love both the creative and the management aspects of Planet Coaster 2, so being able to customize all the details, incluidng the food, water, electricity, and staff schedules is amazing! 🎉🎉🎉 It's something that I really appreciate. Also, I wear glasses, so I really appreciate the option to enlarge the UI text. 🙏 Can't wait to play Planet Coaster 2.
Sorting the shops staff and allocating loads and loads of mechanics was a lot of messing about getting set up, but once it was done, it became easier to allocate as you were going along and expanding
Will there be a heat map for shade from the sun/weather conditions? That would really help plan areas that should have shade as well as how well the plants I place provide shade in jungle or other nature themed areas.
People are so whiny and nit picky about things. This sequel looks incredible, and the graphics are amazing. This wasnt supposed to be a ride mechanics episode, just a management one. This is leagues better than planco 1.
Really amazing valley there in the background, perfect for a beautiful park to be built in... but, for some silly reason, someone thought it better to build a theme park on a tiny mesa instead... not good thinking behind some of these maps/levels by the look, etc. Bring back the realism!
good new information, but you had announced big news about track rides and dark rides. So I'm a bit disappointed and a lot of it was already known. You should show at least one big thing per deep dive to keep the hype up💪
I really hope they will make the game currency like the real life currency. Because in PC1 there is like 1930s currency, and it's very hard to figure out how much do you want to charge from a person
Yeah, for real lol... a burger in a real theme park is like $30 and people are somehow willing to pay that, in PC1 you can sell burgers cheaper than McDonalds and guests still think it's pricey
What I really would appreciate is the option to change the colors of the heatmap. Like changing bad to purple and good to yellow for people who have some sort of colorblindness.
A long long time ago, in an office far far away, someone mentioned Weather. For a brief moment it sounded like Frontier were going to have "weather" in PC1. Im not sure if that individual was ever allowed on a live stream again after that?. But, the concept of the idea was out there and some of us hoped that it would happen. Now... We have it!? Sure, its hard not to since this is built on the PZ Engine (and that means LOTS of potential !). But still, Weather is a really Exciting addition. May of us got used to the constantly perfect weather of PC1, and build glorious homages to rides and themes, not caring one iota about the weather! Now however, the tables have turned. A dark cloud on the horizon, the risk of rain. Giving the people somewhere to shelter from the elements as Thor shoots bolts of lightening to harass our Power grids! Poseidon, threatening a deluge of water to thwart our outdoor monuments that conquer Gravity, and of course Kevin, the god of slightly cold overcast days that call for a Hot Chocky drink and the shelter of the cheesy ghost train ride!. Bring forth the Weather that we.... as park designers... can conquer that too!. The weather gods will learn to fear our new Pathing tools and construction options!? Mwahahahah!!!!!... . Sorry, got a bit carried away there. Yey! Weather!
So many things that are a big improvement. I hope that the staff management will be easier as well and doesn't need micro management. That is really annoying in PC1
I wonder if Planet Coaster 2’s AI truly rewards the creativity and intricate design choices players invest in their parks. The hours dedicated to selecting themes, positioning trees, and crafting unique layouts showcase each player’s skill and creativity. There’s a noticeable difference in the sophistication of each park, and it would be fantastic if the guests’ reactions reflected this. Without that recognition, an essential layer of realism might be lost, and I think the experience would feel less immersive. But rewarding these thoughtful design choices would add a lot to the game’s depth. Actually it's crucial imo
It would be so nice if the queue times were also displayed in the "Attractions & Shops" park management tab (or maybe in a heatmap). As a realistic example: Taron (LSM Launched Coaster) - Phantasialand in Brühl, Germany.
It will be absolutely crazy to play with your friend on the same session in sand box
I just wanna say, I (And most of the comminity) am erally exited for this game! It looks so good, I got the deluxe edition pre-order practically right away
OMG I LOVE THE HEATMAPS!!!! I got so tired of always trying to look for guest who are having issues lol.
Only 1Month, 11 Days, 5 Hours and 4 Minutes to go 😊
Pure torture
I’d love to see an option for the park to close at night and for the guest/most staff to leave overnight, where maintenance/cleaning could be done. And an option to play slower timescale
The timescale is slower now and time progresses in hours/minutes and days rather than 1 day = 1 month like before
It's interesting to see the Park Management tab take over the whole screen, looks like it automatically pauses the game.. which is good.
I didn't think I'd be interested in all the new stuff about guests, but adding balk times is HUGE.
The heat maps on guests are great.
So happy to hear the OG pc soundtrack. PlanCo and PlanZoo have amazing OSTs!
Why is it sunny when it rains? It's disappointing that this game doesn't use the Planet Zoo weather system 😢
This is a pre-build for the game
I'm just glad that the levels isn't just open flat areas any more
i am so f’ing excited for the water slides! you guys did not disappoint!!
Very cool. Wakes from the guests in the pool is a nice detail. Can't wait to try it out 😊
I think the finance tab would look better if it modeled an income statement but I might just be nerding out there...
Still not sorted the loading and unloading system I see.
You mean the speed at which guests get on and off?
@@1111dionysus yes the fact they don't load/unload simultaneously
Understood! Would be nice to have people waiting in their assigned positions in the dispatch area rather than only entering the platform when the roller coaster train arrives. Waiting at the airgates could make the whole boarding process smoother and quicker. 17:51
@@1111dionysus also multiple coaster loading/unloading would be nice to see considering stations can be made as long as you require.
Not waiting until departing guests have fully left the platform would do leaps and bounds for coaster throughput. I cant think of any real coaster that operates this way. They'll even dispatch them with guests on the platform so long as they're behind a saftey line.
Thank you for this deep dive ! It would be amazing if we could create our own scenarios and then sharing them !
It would be really cool to have an employee mode where you can work as an employee on the attractions. Check the seats etc. and start the roller coaster. Control the attraction (for example Top Spin or Free Fall Tower).
YES SIR, New Deep Dive!
I love the look of the new Staff Scheduler! Really hoping this makes it into Planet Zoo 2, as well.
Rain ponchos would be great to have alongside the umbrellas, you see them all the time in theme parks and they're good for wet rides too.
Sorting the shops staff and allocating loads and loads of mechanics was a lot of messing about getting set up, but once it was done, it became easier to allocate as you were going along and expanding
i can't wait for this game i'm counting down the days like its christmas
Where are the security guards in Planet Coaster 2?
They didn’t release a short on them so that’s actually a good question
She is there. I think the woman in the blue shirt is the security guard
@@coasterclassifications8844 That's a ride operator staff member
@@coasterclassifications8844 it’s the ride operator. Ride operators are not security guards.
@@coasterclassifications8844 That's the new "ride attendant".
That heat map is a brilliant idea!
Will there be a heat map for shade from the sun/weather conditions? That would really help plan areas that should have shade as well as how well the plants I place provide shade in jungle or other nature themed areas.
I cant wait for Planet coaster 2… even if it’s on a weekday 😅
Right....Gotta work bro😢
@@Enthusiastically460 yeah i hate it 😭😭
I got from Wednesday to Tuesday off for this game 👌. Can’t wait!
@@ErwinPPP bruh I need to get on your level
Thank you for the deep dive, the heatmaps are great 👍🏼
People are so whiny and nit picky about things. This sequel looks incredible, and the graphics are amazing. This wasnt supposed to be a ride mechanics episode, just a management one. This is leagues better than planco 1.
This game actually looks so good I’m so getting this
Really amazing valley there in the background, perfect for a beautiful park to be built in... but, for some silly reason, someone thought it better to build a theme park on a tiny mesa instead... not good thinking behind some of these maps/levels by the look, etc. Bring back the realism!
good new information, but you had announced big news about track rides and dark rides. So I'm a bit disappointed and a lot of it was already known. You should show at least one big thing per deep dive to keep the hype up💪
This looks really promising. I have no complaints so far.
No more Security in Planet Coaster? No guards as people mentioned but also no Security info in the management and heatmap UI
Could be added later on, don’t think it was there at the start in the original either.
Cannot wait for this. There's a good number of videos between Deep Dives and demos to influencers, yet not one video shows the new first person mode?
staff scheduler is awesome, exactly what I wanted in PC1
I really hope they will make the game currency like the real life currency. Because in PC1 there is like 1930s currency, and it's very hard to figure out how much do you want to charge from a person
Yeah, for real lol... a burger in a real theme park is like $30 and people are somehow willing to pay that, in PC1 you can sell burgers cheaper than McDonalds and guests still think it's pricey
YOU ADDED A PLATNIUM GOAL!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
PLEASE don't make the campaign as useless and easy as the first Planet Coaster! We want some challenge here!
Give us building pieces to build an indoor pool and build something like Tikibad Duinrell Nederland in a future DLC please?!
So cool!
I sure hope it's not sunny all the time when it rains...
Staff Zones! Finally! I was so much hoping for this. ❤
Yoooo! Thank you!
What I really would appreciate is the option to change the colors of the heatmap. Like changing bad to purple and good to yellow for people who have some sort of colorblindness.
I hope ride attendants can be seen checking guest’s restraints and such.
Yey! Weather!
Can you please get separate loading and unloading stations? If this is added, this would be a perfect game! I can’t wait for pc2!!!
Whats the next deep dive on? Please be on coasters... the thing we all want to see
Comminuty, workshop, "multi player thingy which is not real multi player thingy" thing ❤😊 info is on the website.❤
