I combined one of my locs with a 2 head crochet needle. Came out fine (I had no idea what I was doing fr) I gave em a lil brushing with da tool (2 make frizz) then 2 stranded them together & poked em up, followed by a light palm roll. A year later it looks as if it was always just one loc. The twist pattern was almost gone instantly
With my first set, I kept combining and combining because about halfway through my journey, I decided that I wanted about 30 locs instead of the 72 I started with. Right before i hit one year, I just cut them off so I could start over. I am now 4 months into my second journey with 28 locs, and I'm very happy I decided to start over.
I combined 4 locs into 2 about 15 months ago. 6 months ago I tried to separate one of the combined locs. It did not go well. I decided to re wrap the ends I had separated and leave my combined locs alone. I don’t plan to combine any more. In retrospect, I could have left all 4 locs alone. They were not as thin as sisterlocs and those locs stay attached as they grow. I think I was just doing too much.
Is it normal to have more locs on one side I recently change my freeforms to semi And I noticed I got more locs on my right side, maybe a fault from my loctician Is there a way I can correct that?
Freeforming sister locs is a case by case basis, its doable but its something that you honeslty wont know the extent of until you try. The roots will grow in like 2x thicker than the locs which may cause issues. Also, if you freeform, the locs will combine on their own eventually. Or yes you can manually combine them. I would recommend doing so with crochet

Im currently using thread. Not threading through tho. Crochet was not working in fact my locs were popping off. Im going to keep at it. Wish me well
Wishing you success in that journey 🙌🏾

Yes it is. Sometimes one side of your head has thicker hair than the other
Please is it possible to have a freeform with my 1yr sister locs without any problems, also can sister locs be combined??

Thanks so much, really appreciate 🙏
In that case after combining then I can freeform my locs without any issues or?
