I haven't had any issues with mine breaking or tarnishing - I have one I wear on a necklace now and then, and the rest are clipped onto the zipper pulls of my handbags, so they don't get rubbed or bumped against anything, I think that helps :)

It depends on the charm really. Most are a couple of centimetres, quite small and cute :)

Thank you! I got some JC jewelry and after some googling, I sprayed them with Krylon crystal clear. I hope it will preserve them!
