I've made a shirt on my own like this and got stumped at the shoulders making the casing. I'm glad you addressed this as my next one will be much better! I do think attaching the elastic at both ends and feeding it through the back will be a nicer front!

She can make Anything & has more clothes than anyone I've ever known (has her fabric shipped back) after shopping out of town. I still have nightmares from being in the fabric store all day as a kid. Sifting the elastic through the tunnel is easier if you use a closed safety pin to push it along!

Get one from a thrift shop before you invest in a more expensive new one--unless you plan to make a lot of your own clothes it's not economical
