I agree with you that what you have are excellent value. If you are into furniture making then another good tool to have is the spray gun as it saves a huge amount of time and gives a very fine finish whether in paint or varnish, even hot liquid bees-wax can be sprayed.

My Aldi table saw imploded which was quite frightening at the time. When I phoned Works who put me through to Einhell who put me through to Scheppach (it might have been the other way round) it seemed it’s a common problem with one of the housing bolts. They took it back straight away and the money went straight into my bank. I have a Works multi tool though that I would put up against any top make.

You might experience a bit of moisture in your tools when it gets hot, I know it won't be as ergonomic to have your overhead sockets horizontal but a "t" with a bleed nipple lower than the socket would solve this.

I don't want to sound like im being rude about you/your video mate but buying a compressor that size is great but offers you no room to grow, that compressor wont run anything other than a nail gun, air blow gun as it does not have enough free air to run a spray gun, sander etc. also have the outlets like you have means any moisture/water will be feed straight threw the tool causing damage (rust/corrosion) inside of the tool itself. A water trap would be a good idea and also its worth taking into account the longer the airline run the more pressure drop you will have at the end of it. Them nail guns are good for the money though and can be used with a small bore hose as they don't require a high volume of air just pressure
Also you said if your doing a lot of sanding buy an electric sander because they are better which is very much not the case, i have a expensive electric sander that was recommend to me by a lot of people but put side by side next to my air sander id go air every time as it gives a better surface finish and its better balanced

    • @dmgladden

yes with sanding as its a long job and anything with a disc acts as a brake which uses a lot more power or air in this case so it is best you have a very big supply on hand

As long as its small areas at a time - it will run out of air reasonable quickly with jobs that require extended constant airlfow like spray painting, sand blasting etc. As long as you are aware of that and plan accordingly it could work ok

Thank you Dave. I have some Lidl air tools. no compressor yet as blew the budget on tools. I have a question for you, do the air hoses become rock hard in cold weather or stay pliable because that drives me insane ? I have had Chicago Pneumatic grinders for years whilst employed as a welder and despite regular oiling always broke down so never bought one but also spoilt work by over oiling so go easy folks I never could judge how much to fill up with, maybe an inline oiler would help, never used one.Lidl,s longish warranty is also good but keep your receipts.

As a plumber i can say for sure its not cheaper, the pipe if long distance is cheaper but the fittings are not and with inserts needed in every end of every joint the cost keeps mountain but as for pressure? Water comes to most at around 2-3bar this little compressor is kicking out 8 bar so i wouldn't risk it but also I've never tried it so it might

As a gas engineer I would say that an alternative to the 15-mm copper would in fact be a roll of 12-mm malleable copper as it can be bent round corners without the need of elbows. The internal diameter is more akin to that of the flexible rubber or plastic hoses.
