Thank you, Chris. As someone who has just switched from Things to Apple Reminders in the search for something simpler, I found this very helpful. Clear and concise, as tutorials should be!
I did the same thing a few months back. Things is definitely more organised from the start but some features like location-based reminders or quickly adding a link from a website etc. to a reminder is just gold. Plus, the syncing via iCloud is way better than Things Cloud and the lack of syncing in the background.
This was great Chris! I actually use Reminders all the time but I've never taken the time to learn how the smart lists work...this was very helpful for me though and I will definitely be using them!
Just superb! Helped me get started in a better way with Reminders. Easy to be confused at first. Please keep doing these presentations, Chris. The length and amount of info in one session are just nicely balanced.
I actually have not been able to figure that out. There might be a way to use the Shortcuts app to alter the relative date settings of a Smart List in Reminders but I haven’t explored that. I would love to do what you mentioned - have a list of my Monday - Friday tasks. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the great tutorial! What mic are you using becuase the sound quality is great. Do you use audio processing for greater quality and if yes which sotfware do you use? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!
In this video I’m using a Tasman DR-10L but I’ve recently switched to the Rode PodMic going into my Scarlett interface. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
I really appreciate the explanation in your video. I searched for other videos but didn't understand them, so I tried other apps but didn't like them. Suddenly, I found your video, and now I understand the topic well. Great explanation! More power to you, and I hope your UA-cam channel grows quickly.
Excellent video. Do you know how much data can be stored in the Reminders app? For example, it possible to have 10 GB of data stored in the app and it still work and without lagging? I use it often for work.
10 GBs would be a TON of data, but you can definitely do it with your iCloud storage without it causing your device to lag. What kind of data are you typically storing in reminders?
@@chriscardoso The data consists of work projects with timelines, along with attachments, such as important documents, and images. Additionally, several of my reminders would probably be better served in the Notes app. I have since discovered that “part of a note” can be converted to a reminder, in the Reminders app; however, I have yet to figure out how to copy those applicable reminders from the Reminders app to the Notes app. In addition to that, I use the typical reminders/list, such as reminder to take out the trash, grocery list, etc.
@@chriscardoso Just to clarify… I did previously figure out how to drop a note from the Reminders app to the Notes app. Although, I have not figured out how to drop the note with the attachments included.
Can you make this video more detailed and for teens. I was going to share this video with my sons to be more organize but it’s to fast and it’s not easy to understand. Maybe because I never use this app before and not tech savvy 😢
Is there a way to set a repeating task that may not repeat on exactly the same day? Homework for most classes is generally due on the same day but exams fall on different days of the week. It'd be neat if we could put in something like "chemistry exam on X, Y and Z days" or something like that, if that makes sense. @@chriscardoso

I’m glad the shift to Apple Reminders is going well for you! What made you decide to shift away from things?
Great question ! I was going to ask the same David !

Very nice Chris! Can you make a video that shows how to use Calendar and Reminder interchangeably, that would be great.
This is on the list for future videos! 😉
1:55 can you do the same thing or similar with google chrome or firefox? don't really like using the safari web browser.
You can always take a link from chrome or Firefox and paste it into reminders, but they don’t have a native share like safari!

Heck yea! More nerdy reminders videos coming in the future.

Great video thanks. Is there any way to create a smart list that just shows me all tasks from the current running week, from Monday to Friday.

@@chriscardoso Yeah 👍
What screen recording and editing tools do you use Chris?
I use Cleanshot X for my screen recordings and I edit in Final Cut Pro X!

Fantastic tutorial 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!
Do you really type that fast?
No. That was sped up. 😂

I will definitely consider this for a future video! Thank you for watching!
I have been using calendar to do some of these things
Exactly, some people plan this in their calendar, others in their reminders app.
Thanks for watching!
PLEASE PLEASE Discuss how to use Apple Notes and Reminders together more efficiently
I will definitely be doing a video on this in the future!
I’ve learned a thing or two. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
Great video, Apple Reminders is one of the best reminder apps I have ever used!
100%! Such a solid app that’s available for free!
Thanks for the helpful video!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching!
Nicely done. However, it's hard to see where you are putting your cursor to click. Please highlight your moving cursor thanks!
I will see what I can do on future videos!
Thank you so much for this video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!

Like for the going to the moon bit. Great video mate :)
Haha! I’m glad someone found that little bit in there. Thanks for watching!
Awesome tutorial. I’m in 🚀
Love it! It’s such a powerful free tool built into all Apple products.
Thank you for this!!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!

Really useful info Chris. Subscribed.
Appreciate it! Thank you for watching!
I don’t understand why we need Reminders if we can put reminders in calendar. What’s the difference?
Everyone has their preferred method! I have a pretty heavy calendar with events and meetings, so I prefer to keep my tasks somewhere separate.
You cannot make a list of things in Calendar
@@tahamagdy4932 You are right! And also a list is a neat report of things to do, one may focus on it.
I like to block my work time in my calendar and "fill" it with tasks from reminders.
