I drove her bus for a quite a while and before we left town she would always cook supper for everyone at her house in Franklin, that had a bowling alley in the basement. Lovely lady and fun times I had with Dottie and her band. RIP D.W.
Were you driving her bus in 1976? If so, I met you at a show in Milwaukee outside The Centre Stage dinner Theatre. You offered to give me a ride in limo but I declined because I was waiting with an older lady for her husband and didn't want to leave her there by herself.

Headstone is Beautiful. My parents loved her. Thank You so much for some good memories. They for sure had the album with Kenny Roger's. God Bless You🙏❤
I used to perform security alarm service work for Dottie at her home in Nashville and the home in Franklin back in the early eighties. She was always so nice and polite. Everytime I was there, she would always want me to sit and eat supper with her and whatever family members were there. I was to shy to do so and always declined. I sure wish now that I had accepted her offer and got the privilege to know her better.

I've been there a few times, in McMinnville, Kenny paid for the funeral as I understand and if you notice around her grave it's inlayed with sod, the pick of her on the stone isn't the greatest in my opinion
Great video paying respects to Dottie West. She lived 72 miles southeast of Nashville in McMinnville, Tennessee, which is where the cemetery is located. 😊

👍💯❤🤗. I loved Dottie West. I put her up there with Patsy, Tammy, and other Women of Country that I Loved and still Love. She had that fiesty spirit, I admired that about her. She went through some things, I don't know how true some of those movies they made about her. One or two I didn't like.Dottie was like most Women, She wanted to be Loved, treated with Respect. And she wanted her children to have what they needed. Most Mothers Do. I was just beginning to get into her music, when she passed, I was still young, but I loved her voice, her fiery Spirit. I remember hearing about the Wreck, she was scheduled to sing that night,But Sadly, she didn't make it. I felt bad about her losing her home and how IRS just took everything. I thought it was good that Friends did try to Buy Back a lot of her things. If you ask me Dottie West was in a Class all by Herself. She was Beautiful. Sad she was making a comeback when she died. Not that she ever left. Just she lost so much. She just wanted to Sing. There will never be another Dottie West. I Appreciate you Taking us along. You do make a difference. 👍❤️😃 🎼 thanks Jason. I have asked before but I will ask again, i would love to see Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s grave. This lady was the pioneer of gospel and rock and roll music and nobody could play the electric guitar like she did, she was probably the first to use heavy distortion on her electric guitar. Truely amazing considering she was a black woman born in 1915. Her grave went unmarked for over 30 years until a writer and fan organised a benefit concert to raise money for a much needed headstone. Anyone who does not know of who she is, should. She is buried in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ❤️Jodie🇦🇺
