In this guide I am showcasing the 4 different variants of the Stuka JU 87, the different bombs damage radius, how to aim with the bombs and finally the art of dive bombing itself. Hope you will get something useful out of it.

There was a small BR change made to the two first Stuka's we have access to. The Ju 87 B-2 and R-2 has their BR reduced from 1.7 to 1.3 - So now you can bomb the crap out of your enemies even sooner ! - all other information in the video is still correct. 🙂
Is it worth it getting the first dive bomber instead of a bomber in Germany or should I get the dive bombers?
@@dessirangelova2676 It depends on what you enjoy really. With the Stuka you will not get a proper bombing sight and if you do not spend enough time with them, they can be frustrating to use. The regular bombers do offer much more diversity and a proper bombing sight you can use in both air and ground RB. The bombers are also easier to spade. I would eventually do both though. You will get through the Stuka quick, since there are only 4 dive bomber models, but they are stuck at low BR and are somewhat limited in their bombloads and other capabilities. The regular bombers go up to BR 8.3 and their capabilities follow along your BR, the Stukas are stuck in what they can do. I suggest you eventually go both ways since the Stuka, once learned, is super fun and effective to use.
how do you change the camera angle so it is over the plane
Thanks. The main problem for me was figuring out how to aim the bomb, and the minimum height before pulling up, but this helped a lot.
HI Snowrider, glad the video helped out some. I still want to tell people in game chat about my video when I almost every match see people just dive into the ground in Stukas and other dive bombers , but I am sure that is against Gaijin's ToS 🙃

I dont remember who told me this but:
Depending on the angle of attack/dive, if your speed is 400kph or less, the bomb shall drop below the crosshair. If above 400kph it shall fall closer to the crosshair if not over the crosshair.

fun fact! if you choose a loadout with bombs on the wings and set up a bomb sequence to have all bombs dropped at once, the center bomb doesn't use the cradle, and instead detaches instantly!
The 500kg + 4 50kg bombs are my preferred loadout
Hi Pika, that's not good, lol - if you perform a steep dive there is a chance the center bomb will hit the prop that is why the cradle is there in the first place. Maybe it should be reported as a bug :)

Ground targets are fairly straightforward; my problem always comes with running the gauntlets of anti-air batteries on the bigger ships. I tend to give a small spread with my payload, and go in guns blazing until they rip me apart. If I am, however, still intact when I get about 10m above the stacks, I throttle back, pull up hard, and firewall it again. End up kamikaze-ing more often than not, though.
I'm sure its much worse in naval with the AAA.
@@8BitDane you'd be surprised how many players leave them set to surface vessels only. I'm still fairly new to the game, and even I know this is a grave mistake.

What bomb layouts to you all tend to use on your Stukas? Typically I just use the biggest bomb I can equip and forego the smaller wing bombs. Great video!
Hi Spiral, with the D-3 I usually go with 1k center and 2x250kg bombs for two drops and, 4x50 and 1x250kg for the B-2 for three drops. For the D-5 its 1x500 center and 2x250 under the wings - and thanks !

Since this video ther've been 3 new stukas introduced, two G variants with 37mm cannons instead of bombs and a premium R variant which is otherwise the same as the R2. Would you make a short guide on ground attack with the cannons? I can bomb ok but always seem to miss with the 37s and they provide more ground attack opportunities in a single run than bombs.

Do you have any tips after the dive bomb when you get chased out by fighters? Is it better to outrun them in a straight line or go zigzag or whatever?
chances are they will catch up to you eventually, but some you can still out run. Just remember that the more violently you zigzag the more you are going to lose speed and make them catch up to you. You should try play around with the Stuka in a custom battle and drop your bombs then try dogfight the AI planes, see how it feels. The D5 model has a pretty good punch with two 20 mm cannons. And mentioning the D models, they have twin MG for the gunner which can quite easily destroy a plane chasing you. But I think it is really from battle to battle, Twin fighters you can outturn and actually dogfight if they have low energy but regular fighters I would probably try to so smaller avoidance manouvres with and then switch to the gunner from time to time and see if you damage or destroy his engine.

When I took this legendary information and put it into practice I got it first try from 3000 m up it was with the 1000kg bomb tho still epik tho :D (I showed my friend and he said That now he fears any loud propeller planes) edit: what type of flaps are the best for this combat or raised?

I did, but since the video is aimed for RB and AB, I did not make a section for bombing from cockpit view. I suppose I could have added it for SB.

I didn't understand what you said when X marks where you should release the bombs which is behind the tank and in the same sentence you said to release bomb one tank length ahead of the target.
I can see it sounding confusing. It is because in one sentence I was referring to the X and in the other sentence from the camera point of view 🙃
@@8BitDane I tried in test flight from what I understood by dropping behind the tank only scored a hit. Then I went to RB and dropped as usually do slightly ahead of tank. I am a new player in warthunder.
@@biker5719 you can get close, about the width of a tank with the wing mounted bombs, you need more distance with the center bomb due to the cradle. Hey, you get the all the Stuka's from the German aviation tree, the first Stuka is available already at BR 1.7 - I would say the fastest way to earn them, is to join arcade air battles where you can use all your planes, It should be pretty fast for you then.

You need to set a keybind for it in the control setup 🙂believe its J or H on the keyboard by default.

My first time with this plane dive bombing I used 300% boost and I crashed and only got 278 rp 💀

I think its a combination of people throwing money at the game, a select few being in the creator program with WT and can request GE and vehicles and yes, some grind the hell out of the tech tree's.

@@dobs.0 for free there are some options, like doing the tutorials, some of them still I think give GE. Then there is the option if you are lucky and can get an GE wager from the daily log-in chest, I am working on one right now. You can participate in tournaments and events - selling the event vehicles on the marketplace and exchange the gaijin coins for GE. There is also an App for you phone for it and then there is this option www.idle-empire.com/rewards/free-war-thunder-golden-eagles. There might be more ways, but do not remember :)

Ich verwende die englische Version und dort heißt es unter : Controls - Aircraft - Mechanization - Toggle Airbrakes.
Vielen dank habe es gefunden. Noch eine frage der Sirenen Sound funktioniert bei mir nur bei der Ju 87 B-2. Stimmt das oder bei allen Ju modellen. Denn ich habe mir die Ju 87 R-2 version gekauft und da funktioniert es nicht... Warum genau?@@8BitDane
@@einfachtim3873 Das ist richtig, im Spiel hat nur das allererste Modell die Sirenen. Soweit ich weiß, hatten die meisten Modelle die Sirene IRL und es war für den Piloten möglich, sie mit einem Schalter auszuschalten. Ich habe gelesen, dass die Sirenen bei den ersten Modellen, die nicht abgeschaltet werden konnten, die Piloten in den Wahnsinn trieben, außerdem gab es einen erheblichen Luftwiderstand am Flugzeug, da die kleinen Propeller der Sirenen während des Fluges in den Luftstrom gedreht wurden. Später gelang es ihnen, die Sirenen auszuschalten und den Luftstrom über die Propeller zu stoppen, wodurch die Stuka schneller wurde.

Hi, yes it does, some dive bombers do not have the cradle for the center bomb so there will be a little difference in where to aim and they can't release the center bomb in as steep a dive as the ones with the bomb cradle. Otherwise its the same principle. Suggest to visit the practice range on the individual dive bombers just to find out exactly where the bombs hit.

@@8BitDane update found naval arcade to be good and also a tip get to the FPS view And look down using the free look there will be a window that was made to found your target and when you get your target in there you start the dive

Hi Furry, yes, they do leave you hanging a lot in the game, but I think they want it like that, making you spend countless of hours trying to figure things out. It can be super frustrating.

The ju 85 d 5 is very bad! Its a 3.3 veichle that is worst than a 3.3 heavy fighter with cannon or a 3.3 dive bomber. its slow and bad turn!
