Hi Jess! Happy Monday! So nice of you to clean/declutter/organize for your mom 😊. I’m sure she’ll love and appreciate it. Being the child of an immigrant, I would love cleaning for my mom as well. Well, I took her cleaning tendencies, so 😂😂. But she loved it so so much that her daughters would do that for her because she provided a clean house and environment for us. I wish she was still here for me to keep doing it 😔. But it’s all good. I’m passing those to my home instead. Keep doing what you’re doing. Nothing but blessings you’re bringing to yourself and your kids 😃
I did a closet reorganize for my mom about 3 + years ago she still loves it to this day and I know your parents love it

lol, will use three different rags on the same area(I understand why) but places clean dishes on the dirty floor! It’s so funny what things bother people and don’t phase others!

I’m loving this video, I remember doing this for a woman I worked for, it was so much fun and she absolutely loved it.
For expired items, to me they aren’t bad unless they have no flavour like spices, or if it doesn’t look good after opening or smells bad. I know it says expired but it doesn’t really mean it’s not good. Companies just give a recommendation and need to cover themselves for liability.
The pantry looked really good, we have the same eye for how things look. I agree the plastic thing on the door isn’t pretty, but probably I would have put the tea packages in them as they aren’t heavy or pre packaged mixes like gravy or soup mixes. I would have secured it to the door at the bottom to help it from moving when opening the door. I didn’t like that big yellow container, but I get why your mom would like it. I would replace it with a big clear glass canister. I am trying to go to glass over plastic for food storage.
I have to say though I am really enjoying this video, I hope you’re feeling better or more yourself. Only thing missing is your furry friend running around adding a cosmical element 😁. Thanks Jessica looking forward to this series and your mom is fortunate to have a wonderful daughter such as yourself.
Wanted to add I think it’s cool that you grew up in that home, I moved a lot as a child, at most I can only see my old homes from the outside 😞.

I also think the pantry turned out looking neat, but there's one thing i would've switched up: the coffee and the canned food. I think the canned food suits better near the spices and the coffee should be in the same cabinet as the tea. But overall, you did an amazing job!
Every time you get up on that chair it had me fearing for your safety, in case it breaks. We have a good 2-step & 3-step-ladders at home.
P.S. I have done this at my mom’s, & although reluctantly lets me go through everything with her, she rarely lets much go. I feel frustrated but keep telling myself that it is her house, not mine.
