My favorite album of all time!!
Me too!
Not only Yield is my favorite PJ album of all time, it was also the only tour that I managed to see while I was in the US. Seeing them live was life changing for me.
How was it life changing?
Pearl Jam was on effing fire on this album. It remains their magnum opus. This awesome video helps confirm this. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great Riff selection. Yield is an special album for me. It's like a good wine. Thank you
Thanks J and same for me, i was at college when this came out and remember it fondly!
This might be my favourite Pearl Jam album and it was the first album I've listened by them! I remember picturing several colours e images while listening to it inside the car with my parents and brother on the streets of Rio de Janeiro.
"in hiding" riffs are the best on the album
Great stuff! Looking forward to the Binaural video, truly an underrated album even among Pearl Jam fans I find!
Coming soon! ;-)
it's so cool to see you praise "do the evolution" riff (im in love with the first one). i'd learn guitar just to play it myself one day. thanks for the video
Yea i love that tune it's a banger! No time like the present to learn guitar mate! :-)
This needs more likes. Enjoyed the breakdowns of each song.
Thanks!
This was a FANTASTIC video! Loved every minute of it. While I knew how to play most of these songs already, there were a couple of parts I was missing and it's always awesome to hear another musician's take on what may be Peal Jam's best album ever-of course, many will disagree with me, and that's great. That's the brilliance of PJ.
Thanks very much mate, and I agree it really is one of their strongest albums for sure (imo) 🤘😀🤘
Do The Evolution changed my life! Good memories watching this.. Cheers
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video mate :-)
I hit the like button before I watch the entire video!
legend! thanks Lucas :-)
Amazing riffs! Hats off!
Thanks for making my favourite Pearl Jam album even more interesting.
You’re welcome!
Like many here, YIELD is a gorgeous piece of work! Loved hearin Mike had more to do with it than any other album. I feel hes underappreciated. Great man, great player and showman! 🤘💜
How is he under-appreciated?
What a great video I've just discovered! Love this album and the band! Thanks a lot!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is a very nice electric guitar that you have. Thank you for your work on these videos, I find them very enjoyable.
Thanks Jack, glad you're enjoying them!
Hendrix + Townsend = In Hiding. I can see why Eddie loves that tune so much!
it's a thing of beauty for sure - love it!
Great video. Everything about In Hiding is so great. One of my favorite PJ tracks ever. The whole album has so many great riffs. Definitely one of my favorite tracks.
Thanks Eric, completely agree, its my fave track at the mo. Mike McCready's fave of Stone's too so we're in good company :-)
@@LetsPlayAll yes we are!!! I forgot to say congrats on 20k, that’s awesome. Here’s to 20k more.
@@ericcarpenter3263 😊😀🤘
Thanks a lot for this video, i have learned so much from this.

Thanks Eze glad you enjoyed it mate! 😊🤘
Hi😊 that bridge paf pickup is?
Love how U playing all that unique riffs, with nice, close feel and good timing. And much more than 10 riffs❤
Big Thanks
Great album..Probably my favorite from Pearl Jam
Really like your videos and your style, not trying to be funny for the sake of it or screaming like a teenager like so many youtubers. Really good stuff. You got a sub. And Yield is on my top 3 from Pearl Jam.
Hey Roger, ah thanks for the sub, i really appreciate it, and thank you for the kind words! I think i'd agree, top 3 for me too
Great Matt! Always teaching the best way to play the songs!
Thanks man!
Thanks a lot for this video, Matt. You're amazing.
ah thanks Luis, you're welcome!
Finally 😍my favorite PJ album
Haha sorry for the wait Vito! Enjoy :-)
Great sounds. Amazing playing. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it mate!
Super mate, throughly enjoyed learning that lot 🤘🏽👍🏼
Hey Luis, you're welcome mate, such a great album! :-)
So many greats on this album
Yea it was hard to cut the vid down to 25mins to be honest mate! 😀🤘
Great video! Yield really is a great album!
Thanks Betina, completely agree, possibly in my top 3 PJ albums i think!
Thanks for this video 🤟😁. Yield: what a great album!
you're welcome Marco, you've been extremely patient for this one!
@@LetsPlayAll 😂😁👍🤟
Que video más útil y musicalmente motivador. Cosas simples que los grandes músicos de PJ saben utilizar. Gracias por tu vídeo. Saludos desde Chile
¡Gracias por tu comentario y me alegro de que te guste el video compañero!
The best bit is when the crowd sings along to stones bit in do the evolution!
yes! i love that, when I play it live with the tribute band i play in the crowd does it then too haha, very cool :-)
Faithful sounds great!
thanks Andres!
the guy plays a lot 👏👏👏
I've been a fan since Ten. Kinda stopped listening after Vitalogy but really dug the Yield tracks but only the cuts from Single Video Theory. I didn't feel the magic when I listened to the album.
Ah you missed one of my top 5 PJ songs of all time, PILATE!!!
haha sorry William, i do love that tune, stay tuned for my All The Riffs vid for this one, that one won't be far away :-)
@@LetsPlayAll can’t wait ! I love the breakdown part of Pilate, “stunned by my own reflection ....... “ one of the best lyric jobs ever!
@@williamfischer7918 ah yea that’s awesome, I’m massively surprised they dont play it more live, I think only 30 or so plays ever!
He's right! I forgot about Pilate. A very simple, but amazing song. Hopefully a video will be forthcoming??
Great album ! any chance you can do some stp ? interstate love song , still remains
I think you'll enjoy this playlist mate :-) ua-cam.com/play/PLLJomVjCOvkh_MeEcEOAoQJqaZt_fI0he.html
@@LetsPlayAll Awesome ,thanks
New to your channel; please keep the PJ coming. Perhaps The End, sometime?
Hey George and welcome! You’re in luck; have a lesson for that one right here (and blackbird by the Beatles as it’s very similar!) ua-cam.com/video/hBJTUckfnR4/v-deo.html - I think I’ve got almost 200 PJ lessons to date so have a look at my playlists I’m sure you’ll find a load in there. Lots more to come!
@@LetsPlayAll thank you! Here’s to your next 20,000 subs!
I'm sure you are aware of this but Lowlight is EADGAD
Don’t think i did actually but thanks!
Brain of J!! 🤘🤘
:-)
I love this channel! would it be possible for you to do a guitar lesson on “Shame in You” by Alice In Chains? please consider it or listen to it because it’s a great song with so many harmonies/ layers
thanks! i'll get to them all eventually :-) lot's more AIC to come, i'll add it to the list, just bear in mind i prioritise the Patreon requests in case you want it quicker!
@@LetsPlayAll do you know the song/listen to it? you don’t have to but it’s AMAZING
Thank you for doing this. Are you using a pedal in front of the amp?
Hey Roger, no worries! I am indeed, for the medium OD stuff my Hamstead Odyssey, for light gain Archer. I've got a pedalboard build vid and a bunch of other lessons where i go through the tones too so be sure to check them out, i use the same setup in most vids :-)
It's here!!😁😁
The waiting drove you mad? ;-) Finally, sorry for the long wait for this one Tasos and thanks for reminding me to do it!
@@LetsPlayAll Worth the wait:D
thank you!!
Given to fly🤘
What guitar is this? And a few words about that sounds would be great. Sounds beautiful
Hey Helge, thanks very much! It's a Suhr Classic that i bought 2nd hand but was a custom order for the guy that got it, fixed bridge, HSS, landau style headstock. For my more recent lessons i always go into details on the tones/pedals i'm using so didn't in this one (it was already almost a 25min vid haha) but for the most part using my Hamstead Soundworks Odyssey into my V40 amp
@@LetsPlayAll thanks. Really appreciate it. Stay healthy
finally!
haha hopefully worth the wait, thanks for your patience ;-)
Did you played through software amp? if so, wich one?
Signal chain is Gtr - Pedals - Victory V40 Amp - Two Notes Captor - Audio Interface. Cheers!
What pedal does stone gossard use in do evolution?
no idea mate, mid gain pedal will do the job tho plus a crackly fuzz for the middle section!
Givin to fly tone absolutely stop on
Thanks Logan!
LOOK, MOM. I'M FAMOUS. ☺️
A few good riffs here, but after this album I lost much interest for the band. First four album always a good listen though.
It's your deal, but as for me they have changed after this album, and I accept it, their new music is different but still great
One of the main reason why I love pj is the fact every next album sound different than previous, but in the same time you can hear and feel, it's the same old band
You talk too much.
haha maybe try the lessons, less talky, more playing
@@LetsPlayAll They is no flow , cause you can't stop talking talking talking. You ruin your own content.
@@MotivationPassionAction this series was intended to have more chat for context. It’s also over 2 yrs old so seems pointless defending as it’s not really reflective of what I do now. Thanks for watching!
@@LetsPlayAll Indented by you , not them. Look how many views you only had ? Try a video, intro - guitar tutorial - the end. Then look how many views.. Let the guitar speak, not you. All the best.
your tone in this vid is killer! what OD pedal did you use?
Thanks man, I’m using a Victory v40 amp with either the Hampstead Odyssey for medium OD and my archer for light OD - I’ve got a pedal board build here ua-cam.com/video/HqU8IIFXsV8/v-deo.html
@@LetsPlayAll to what would a hamstead odyssey sound closest for those of us who can't get one?
edit: lemme clarify--which drive pedal might be a good alternative to get me the odyssey tone setting you have on this particular video?
