this is the most straightforward and effective guide I've ever seen. And with so little words and zero talking into the camera. You know someone has truly mastered their craft when they can take such a complex subject and make it elegant and simple.
This information can be presented in a much more straightforward fashion; you consider it the most effective only because it happens to be optimized for your particular learning situation and preferences.
I really like being able to see each muscle and have a specific stretch for each one. It helps guide me, on where I need it the most. I am slowely working my pay through this list, some of the streches are familar, but often presented in a slightly new manner, and some are all new to me. But they all feel so good to do.
Well done!It makes you feel great and does wonders for your figure..I had v curvy hips before though I wasn't overweight (Started at bmi 24.8 now I'm at bmi 22.05) and now they look slim-line and toned.

40 years?? 10 hour daily workouts?? What the hell training are you doing if you still can't do the splits? On a serious note you might have coxa vara in which case it's literally impossible to do the splits.
@@williamwest7008 Yo I read that shit and I had the exact same comment. Like, if you count being alive in general as a workout I've been doing it 24 hours a day for about as long... I can't split either so maybe this guy isn't as dumb as... nope. Is.
I am more eager to know why can't I go full down into split without warming up first? Also after warmed up, I can't raise my leg up high into standing split when I don't have problem on the floor
Not sure in first count but the second one is because you need to work on the active strength of the muscles. Your muscles can reach the splits but they don't have the power to get there against gravity.
Because when you're standing, it is exactly like you were in a split on the floor and bending forward to your front leg. Simple split needs a lot of elasticity and bending forward or backwards is extra step. I have the same problem. We need to increase our flexibility.
I wish I had access to this stuff when I was 16 and trying to do the splits every day for 5 years lol. I guess I can do it at 40 if i use a logical approach but now i don't want to be Bruce lee any more haha
Are you can do full split when I was in grade school about till I stop do you like that gymnastics I can do split still I can still do a split on the walls etc. and 58 eggs still touch my hands to the floor while standing up

Hello Team hope you all fine, would like to know I am 31 yr old and want to do full split, is it possible at this age my muscles can stretch so to accomplish with full split??? Please guide. Thanks...
I really try all method but i can't do split without touching my hand on Floor, my left leg can move in or out when i do side split but left left can't in middle split please help me
""Recently I consulted a doctor with severe lower back pain , he said that your jelly like disc moved, so don't drive bike, don't lift weights & don't bend"" But I had a dream to do full leg splits like taekwondo martial artists do! if i twist hip the pain getting worse, ouch ....! plz give me any suggestion, is leg split possible to me?
First step is to fix your back pain. Any exercise that you can do without pain might be good. Standing meditation (zhan zhuang) might help. It stretches the sinew and tones the core and leg muscles. It takes 2-3 weeks to build endurance. At that point you should see a reduction in the pain and strenthening of the lower back. But if doing it just makes your back worse then do not continue. It costs nothing to do this exercise. You can do it at home any time of day. There are quite a few UA-cam videos that teach zhan zhuang. One good one is ua-cam.com/video/eBSyzHIJvxY/v-deo.html.
Hows it going Elasticsteel, I have been a fan for a few years and I am now going to start committing to a real stretching program. I watched many of your videos and learned a lot. My question is, how aggressive should one stretch? I understand that there is research talking about the duration, but what about intensity? I have a bad habit of always doing it too aggressively (at least I think its too aggressive) and end up sore for 5-7 days.
Hi Alex, there are many mistakes that people make when stretching which ends in one thing... injuries. We've put together an article to address your question please check it out here: www.easyflexibility.com/blogs/flexibility-pearls/5-deadly-sins-of-stretching
Hmmm I was trying to do this when I was young so I can be like JCVD.....I interestingly got an inguinal hernia around the same time but never thought of the two of being connected....It could have just been random chance though lol.
in Jackie Chan's movie "city hunter", that guy who played as Ken in the video game "street fight" later in this movie, just standing up from almost this full split, do u think it was real?
That is real, that guy is Gary Daniels. A great martial artist. They made the floor extra slippery so he could pull his legs together to come all the way up.
it can work, but might take very long. Without reaching the full split you can tho strengthening those areas by doing it regularly. Another good exercises is the horse stance, for the split. Heaps of videos on youtube :). Be careful tho, the older we get, the longer it takes, and the higher is the risk of injuries. See a professional for more accurate advice depending on your body condition (i'm in the middle of my journey to learn the split and i'm 30yo, started couple of months ago).
Yes, absolutely! We have people way into their 60's for whom it works, you can see our video testimonials with awesome results here: www.easyflexibility.com/
@@thomaslemercier3107 I'm 60 y old and after years of dancing without ever having full mastery of the split, I had significantly measurable results after the first session! It' a unique, physiologically intelligent training method that offers low risk and high reward and no pain!
@@thomaslemercier3107 it could depend on your sex. When I was learning to swim in my mid 30s, the trainer told me I'm lucky to be a woman to learn breaststroke, because men have difficulties due to their skeleton. They can't do those leg moves, something in their bones grows together somewhere in their hip area... and does not allow that motion. So I guess women are probably more flexible in hip area in general, because we were meant to give birth.
A martial artist/fighter would benefit greatly from the full splits. Flexibility makes your legs lighter, lighter is speed, speed is power. Also you can kick high with pretty much no effort.
Tennis players, basketball players, and anyone else who might need to suddenly change direction on a court are at risk of injury in their adductor muscles if they are not flexible. Obviously they don't need to do the splits, but it is a good way to protect against injury.

The honest answer why I can`t do a full split is that I dont wanna do it because I dont need it and dont work in a circus or as a professional athlet performing floor exercises. Meanwhile I know many guys that have problems with their hips after their training of full splits. I you wanna become a kickboxer you need it, otherwise not ! ;)
If you couldn't do a split as a child you probably are not capable of doing it because the femor is hitting the pelvis. The splits depend on your skeletal structure and less than 10% of people have the structure to allow for splits. Practice will not change this. Check out Anatomy for yoga video by Paul Grilley.
