I think with a full off season to brain storm between the two of them and fully committing to that vision they have a chance at a great off season to build on the culture and identity they're establishing in Seattle. I'm excited to see how it goes.
Ideal draft: 1 Tyler Booker G Alabama 2 Josh Conerly Jr T Oregon 3 Azareyeh Thomas CB Florida State 5 Jalen Milroe QB Alabama 6 Josiah Stewart Edge Michigan 6 Sam Brown WR Miami 7 Jared Wilson C Georgia
I think getting RG and C starters should be the priority in FA, getting Ryan Kelly for 2 years and Mekhi Becton for 3 or 4 could be huge. Most of the guards in the draft are LG and you don’t have to force one in the first so maybe take Banks if he falls and Emmanwori, Warren, or Campbell if he doesn’t. All of a sudden you’re cooking and we can finally take a major step forward
31st in play-action. That's the best example, for me, for why Grubb had to go. You can blame production numbers on the O-line, but not our predictive play calling based on formation, lack of pre-snap motion, and general predictability. That's all on Grubb.
@@FinsUpForTua what's weird is that his UW Husky offense was full of pre-snap motion. I don't mind the pass-heavy offensive philosophy. You have to run the ball enough to keep defenses guessing, though. It's like we're calling plays against a dumb AI game and ignoring the human element and psychological components. In the first Cardinals game, I was watching Budda Baker sell out and guess right on every play like he knew exactly what we were going to do based on our formations. After that I just watched the opposing safeties and middle LBs every game. We were predictable as hell compared to other teams.
Everything changes if they drastically improve the Oline. The problem is Scheinder has a blank spot for the offensive line. He like shiney objects in the draft. Njigba, Witherspoon and steers away from 5 star offensive line canidates, He's got a long record of not focusing (at all) on the Oline.
seven o lineman drafted last three years, plus Sundell a UDFA, all still on the roster...he has not completely ignored the O line like some people seem to think.....
Re-sign Jones, draft OL, we need a RG who can play RT if needed or vice versa, and trade for McCarthy. That's the perfect offseason...and i'm not saying Geno needs replaced immediately. I think he's a good QB when you protect him. But he's 35, we need someone to replace him in 1-3 years. Putting a young QB behind a bad OL is a recipe for failure. I also disagree on Bobo. He has the best hands on the team and he goes up and gets almost anything you throw at him, he doesn't need a big window (open) to catch the ball. He's slow, but he's dependable.
I have followed the Seahawks for a few years but this will be my first time keeping up with the offseason. I feel like fixing our OL is the biggest priority either with the draft or free agent. I really like Hollywood Brown and could seem him playing along side Metcalf and JSN to replace Lockett. Tyler is right BoBo is not #3 receiver.
First of all for OC, I suggest Kellen Moore a Washington Native, Second, get Offensive Lineman in Free Agency, and third draft a quarterback then a good defensive player Tyler Batty from BYU.
I remember I wanted Seattle to draft Cam Robinson when he was a rookie. Seattle traded down and took Malik McDowell though in round 2. Cam Robinson was picked 1 spot ahead. Could've had him if we took him at #26
Seattle needs to find at least two starters for their o-line and probably one more solid depth player. Lucas and Fant are startable, I just don't think Lucas will last long. Fant should be able to bounce back. But we could add a solid tackle via free agency and draft two guards like I think they should. Donovan Jackson is rated below Booker and Ratledge, but if Ratledge was gone by our 2nd pick, I would take Jackson. But probably not as much of an immediate impact with Jackson. It's more difficult to start as a rookie at tackle as opposed to guard. There's just more to it. Why they get paid more.
Ideal draft... Round 1... OG Tyler Booker Round 2... OG Tate Ratledge Round 3... WR Jalen Royals or Tez Johnson Round 4... TE Mason Taylor Round 5... QB Will Howard or Jaxson Dart Round 6... LB David Bailey Round 6... S Rod Moore Round 7... C Cooper Mays
Keep Dremont Jones as backup to Mafe. He only saves 11 mil by cutting him, and Seattle can't replace him through FA for less than 10 mil. Resign Ernest Jones, resign Laken Tomlinson, resign Jarran Reed and maybe Jonathan Hankins. I know they are old, but bringing them back makes fixing the o-line and a replacement for Lockett possible through the draft. We retain much of the same defensive unit that got us a top 12 defense. Sadly, Cut Lockett and save 17 mil. Royals or Johnson is this year's #3 receiver. Cut Noah Fant and elevate AJ Barner, save 9 mil. Mason Taylor or Oronde Gadsden with 4th or 5th round pick as backup. Also sign a cheap veteran for a #3 Cut Nwosu. Not as much savings as Dremont Jones, but Seattle can add a decent backup to Hall in mid rounds. I like David Bailey. Cut Rayshawn Jenkins and save 6 mil, draft Rod Moore
@@seasquawkerso ur ok with cutting nwosu to save some cap but dremont who aint even that good anymore is worth saving bro what…resign laken tomlinson he should retire tomorrow that dude is hot trash he will be leaving guranteed unless he settles for pennies
Nwosu has played only 6 games each of the past two seasons. Being on the field is a lot of a player's value. I've almost played as many games as Nwosu in the past 2 years. I'm resigning Tomlinson as a week 1 starter who can be replaced probably by mid season. Also, at least Tomlinson is on the field. Never missed in a game in 11 years.

Why is ANYONE high on Eric B? the only places he has been good at is where he has had out of this world level talent and lets face it as long as JS is calling the shots he will not have an IOL.
He doesn't fit the mold of a 3rd receiver. He's a good 4th, but your 3rd receiver should be someone who can elevate to 1 or 2 in time or if one of your top 2 gets hurt.
@ Idc about their big board lol, I’m going with what I see with my own eyes & I humbly think he’s a player worth taking in the 1st round. If you don’t like 18 for him, trade back to mid 20’s and he’ll probably still be there. Super high on him.
Trading back could add another late 2nd or early 3rd round selection. We still get Booker in late first round. That also would make it possible to add another decent pass rusher in the draft round 2 and make it more feasible to cut Dremont Jones. Then Seattle would have the money to add a veteran o-lineman or defensive lineman.
They're both late 2nd round guys. Maybe early 3rd. They're good. Definitely not first rounders. Tyler's right. There are tackles that may be converted to guards in the 1st round... but that's iffy and on an individual basis.
I'm seeing Booker pretty consistently in the first round in a lot of mock drafts. Two of the better tackles after Banks have missed significant time to injury. Maybe they would be fine eventually, but if Seahawks are trying to make the playoffs next year, they need immediate impact. According NFL draft buzz, they have Ratledge and Booker as the 6th and 8th best offensive linemen.
I mean my pick for OC would be Chip Kelly. I think he is dynamite on offense. I don’t have enough info on Eric B or Brian G. Thoughs guys seem good too. As for Doug Peterson, I don’t know man, it might be the former Jaguars HC or something but that team is not attractive lol. Anyway I know we’ll be bringing in a great one. Go Hawks
Ik it’s a hot take but I would trade Kenneth, the running game was better when Charbonnet was the lead back and McIntosh was the backup besides the lions game. Kenneth is still great so he should have a lot of value. We don’t have the line for a back like kenneth
We're not getting Earnest Jones for 38 mil over 4 years. That's a pipe dream. Elite ILBs are like 20 a year. He's not elite. He's slow and not very athletic. He's really good, though. He'll be in that next tier down around 13 - 16 a year. He'll probably be 4 years over 60 mil.
He was crazy good for us you just might not be watching the same game we are . Good thing you aren’t managing our team. We would still be rocking with dodson and baker
@@EmperorPlays24 I'm not sure what you're accusing me of. I love Earnest Jones. Tyler is saying we can sign him for less than 10 mil a year, and I'm saying he's worth a lot more than that. Read what I said again
@@seasquawker I didn't know that, but it sounds right. I figured he'd want the new highest for 2nd tier LBs. Patrick Queen at 13.6 a year, Matt Milano at 14.1 a year. 15 mil a year seems pretty fair.
