Geno's market rate is probably around 40 mil. They can probably knock it down to 35 if they put some garentees on it. Honestly wouldn't be too surprised if they cut geno so he can go to a team that actually wants to pay him and the seahawks get on the qb carousel.
I dont agree. I think you keep Geno until you know there is a solid replacement. We dont have a top 5 pick....so its a complete crap-shoot if you get a decent QB in the draft.
I don't think people give Geno enough credit. I think he's a decent quarterback and quarterbacks don't grow on trees. I wish he didn't throw as many interceptions and was more productive this year in the red zone. But look at this year's rookie QBs, how many of them made the playoffs? Two? Drafting a young QB isn't necessarily the answer to the offensive struggles this season. We need to fix the O-Line!!!!
I’m GM Kamuela! This is the best correct move for the Seahawks to fix this offensive line situation. Trade Geno for a 1st rd pick!! Plus a decent, young, interior offensive line player with an affordable contract. Get another 3rd next year IF Geno hits certain marks. Trade DK. Get you a 2nd rd pick, a decent, young interior offensive line player with a team friendly contract PLUS JJ McCartney! TRADE K-9!! Get that 2nd rd pick back plus a young defensive depth piece!! This gives us an outstanding chance to fix EVERY NEED IN THE 2025 NFL DRAFT. The Seahawks would have TWO 1st rd picks, THREE 2nd rd picks, a 3rd, TWO 4th rd picks, TWO 5th rd picks!! That’s a lot of picks!!
@@Kamuela1972 I’d be all in on every single one of these! BUT I don’t think you’re getting a first rounder for Geno, you might get a second rounder for DK, and maybe a second rounder for K9,,, and you sure aren’t getting any of those “PLUS”’s you mentioned on any of those trades
I think if Seattle could get this they would do it! I am all in on the trade K9 for picks train (saves us money in a year and Charbonet is good enough). I would even use at least one of the picks to pick up that nice running back Skattebo to replace for sure! I do not see us getting a first for Geno. I would trade Sam Howell and a pick to the lions for Joe Milton and let him sit behind Geno though.

We don't have the draft capital (in compared to top 5 picking teams) to get McCarthy. Cousins is cooked. Geno is gonna get paid, we'll have to look into the 2026 draft, and even then, with a team like ours, we don't draft high (our own pick) and agrees rookie is not a guaranteed upgrade. Give him aa better OL & OC. Period
Simple, trade Geno and Walker for 2026 draft capital, draft or sign a cheap QB in FA, invest heavily in the O-line, and if Seattle wins 5 games next year so be it. The improved O-line will have a year under their belt, then Seattle can take that high draft pick and draft capital from Geno and Walker to land one of the best QB's in the 2026 draft. Sometimes a team has to take a step backwards to take multiple steps forward. Taking a step back at QB for 1 year gives Seattle the ability to take multiple steps forward by completely revamping their O-line and get their QB of the future.
@@pandaemoniumbad The only problem with that is, many fans would be upset about taking that step back next year, when in reality, what do we get by paying a 35 year old QB 44m next year just to get the worst possible draft position without a playoff win? By paying Geno that type of money we won't have the money to revamp the O-line while retaining some of the players like DK, and we will end up with the 16-18th pick in the draft again.
