When you run on both platforms it can be seen as a money grab by users, or that you believe that the product will fail. There are circumstances where running on on platform and then at a later date running on another but those are few and far between. Each platform is unique and has a unique userbase so it's best to find the one that works best with your product and stick with that. With an email marketing campaign am I limited to what I can say in the email message about my CF campaign? Is there a place where I can see all the rules of do's and don'ts as it relates to email marketing or PR campaign?
There can be restrictions as to what you can say or promise with crowdfunding but they're usually specific to your region, the type of product you're offering, or what platform you're using (Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc). Best thing to do is check with your crowdfunding platform first and go from there!
