    This is so freaking great guys. I have been trying so hard to edit my wedding videos from last year with more emotion and in a non-chronological manner like this, and it's super hard, so major props for how well this flows and how much love there is in pretty much every shot!

      Since I have edited like 20+ wedding videos from this year I just want to change it up a bit. And all of the really stellar wedding videos that I have watched lately from these guys and others have all been switching it up a bit so I might as well try it to see how it goes!

      we originally started this edit at the first look section and built the story out from there. it wasn't until we got closer to completing the film that we stumbled upon that first song on MusicBed and were inspired to give it an interesting shot for the beginning. We wanted to showcase the location and couple and adventure in the first minute and the song really helped drive that vision.

    half way through and its amazing , great works guys. kinda big thing to note here imo , is fact that they used Voigtlanders and its raining outside unless they used them inside.

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  6 років тому

      they held up really well even for not being completely weather proof. however, at one point before the ceremony, we constantly went from inside a warm van to outside cold rainy weather. after a few times, one of the lenses starting slightly fogging up and didn't quite dissipate in time. you might notice it a little here or there.

    This is so beautiful!!! Amazing work! You guys are the best I have ever seen and are so inspirational!! If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to protect your camera and lens during the rain? Also could you do a video on how you made this look so amazing? I just got a gh5 and have a hard time exposing shots right and color grading. Would love to know how you capture such amazing footage! Thank you for sharing!!! Such an inspiration!

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  6 років тому +1

      unfortunately we didn't bring our lens hoods which would have been so much better. we just had our Declan cloths on hand and dried the lenses about every 2 minutes. lol the gh5 is weather sealed so that helped a lot since it got poured on by rain constantly. If you are interested in how we achieve this look, go watch our other youtube videos on the profile settings for the GH5 and also our Timbre LUT Collection that really makes the footage shine in our opinion. Hope that is helpful.

      Hahha we're so glad someone asked about this, because we had to light some moments, but it would have been SOOO intrusive to bring in normal lighting equipment on such an intimate moment! Soooo we mostly used candle light, because there was enough, but remember that GH5's aren't that great in low light... we actually propped a cell phone up on the table with the flashlight on to help brighten the candle light during a few moments HHAHAH

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  6 років тому

      shot around f2-2.8 for the most part. Not too difficult to focus since we used focus peaking on the camera for helping us maintain sharp focus as often as possible.

    Great work! As a GH5 user I felt your pain of shooting that dinner, looked like maybe ISO 3200 or more? For a casual viewer I’m sure it wouldn’t detract at all from the overall amazingness but the GH5S must be tempting!

    • @karrikamp

      haha if only that camera was available during then. we never pushed beyond 3200 although 1600 is our preferred max. the noise was not crazy bad but we did have to add a little iPhone light at times to get the dinner scene at least manageable beyond just candle light. we now have the gh5s as of 2 weeks ago so more films to come with that beast ;)

      only took us over 5 years to get to this place by filming tons of weddings that allowed us to grow and get better at our craft. every wedding is unique and special to each couple and we try to pull that out and showcase their story in a compelling and beautiful way no matter if it was in a church or mountainside. not every wedding we film is iceland-esque so keep that in mind since we don't share every film we do since we would have no time to edit or spend time with family. lol

      Seriouz Filmz honestly we used our custom Lut for this grade. Called Timbre LUTS that we made available for people to purchase. Link is in our description. The look gets you very close to this and then we just fix white balance and exposure issues to maintain a consistent feel throughout the film.

  • @pcmodderz
    @pcmodderz 6 років тому

    Just curious what was the second camera? The color looked a bit off between shot at 5:29 and 5:33. Not sure if it was a saturation issue just something that looked odd. Otherwise great film.

      I also thought the same at :40

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  6 років тому

      I think those shots were a little underexposed and just needed a little more midtones raised up to become a little more consistent with the surrounding shots. It was also filmed on the 35-100 lens instead of voigtlander which does create a little more of a plastic feel. Also we constantly had to wipe the rain from the lenses which introduced a few inconsistencies with the image colors. Just a little bts info on that 👊🏼. Thanks for watching!

    • @Whiteinrevery
      @Whiteinrevery  6 років тому

      Jason Chavez what looks a little off for you? The greens and exposure levels are pretty consistent with the following shots. The only thing that might make it feel somewhat ‘uncolored’ could be that it followed a drone shot that has a much different look with quality and so it stands out a little more. That shot though is graded and balanced. Thanks for watching the film 👍🏼
