I immediately mixed up some flour & water & poured it in. When I raised that lid & took the cleaning waffle out......my waffle maker was clean. Wow! It works like magic. Thank you again.
Lourdes Guzman to clean it before use I would say the only thing you can really do since it can’t be put in water is to wipe it clean as best as possible with a wet dish rag. And heating it up after would probably kill germs. I’m no expert but I believe that is what I did the first time.
If you cooked waffles and part of it is stuck? Well, I haven’t actually had that happen to me yet so I can’t say with certainty. I guess it would be worth a shot. You could also maybe add a tad bit of water (not a lot) to the hot iron to try and loosen it. To create steam basically.
I usually give to our chickens but you can prevent waste other ways as well. Such as immediately after cooking on it you can make a cornbread or waffle mix and put it on there to catch all the spillage. That way you are eating week old stuck on cheese or whatever is on there. So if you do a cornbread mix and it picks up the cheese that just dripped on there then you can just eat it. This is just a basic cleaning method. You can make any bread recipe that you can eat and it will most likely work in the same way. Hope this helps we the waste issue.

Do you put cooking spray before?
I never use spray before bc my waffle marker manual tells me not too. Not sure it that applies to all waffle irons.
