@@chaddilacdesigns Hey whats the point of wire wheels. Why didn't they make solid metal , to begin with. Whats the point of these weird wheels made with wires. I dont get it.
What combination would you use for big and little, I think they used to use deuce truck wheels on the back for the height as well as the width and what would you use for the front?
Depends on the build style, my go to is wide 5s with 550 fronts and 750 rears ( I use a 3.5" front and 4" rear). If you go with a 40s style you'd want to run a 17" or 18" wire with blackwalls, on that I would do a 700 rear and 475/550 front. Bigs and littles is the way to go!! Thanks for watching!!
Very good explanation on the wheels ------ I have a question on my car ------- Installing the Mustang 11 with disc brakes ------ not sure on the '40 steelies ----- but ---- does the '53 to '63 steelies ----- bolt up to the hub with disc brake caliper ----- is there room --- Will either '40's or the '53's work? ------ Looked like it was a little warm as you made your video ----- Again ---- Thank You for the video --- and Have a Good week ------- Rodney
Hey Rodney.... it was 103º lol! I was drenched and had the fan off so the GoPro didn't pick it up! LOL! I have the 53-63 wheels on my 1962 F100 in one of my previous videos, I think I had to grind a little off a caliper, but other than that there were no problems and it doesn't rub. So the 15" should work, but the 16" would definitely work! Do you have the 5.5" rotors? I found them for my truck and bought two sets before I couldn't find them again! Good luck with the project!!! Thanks for watching!
Bro thank you so much. This helped me a lot. I’m building a 23 model t coupe on a model a frame and some dude has 32-34 ford wheels with the stem in the groove for $200 complete set. Not to rusted or pitted. Is that a good price you think?
Thank you for this video. You cleared up a lot of confusion I’ve had about these wheels for me!
Awesome!! Thanks for watching!!

Awesome!! Going rate for 33-4 wheel, good deal for 32 ford wheels. Just have to measure them.
does the 53 wheel have some sort of stamping on the back?
If you're referring to a makers stamps, it would probably have a KH on the back and possibly a size, but sometimes they stamped those inside the hoop.
