ustad dilshad khan was actually really nice most of the time, but in some cases he sounded funny, but it feels so bad that poeple couldn't tolerate him at all, he is one of the finest gramatically correct musician and also the ustad of parveen ji.
Jugal Bandi does not match. The rendition of Parveenji is much more excellent than her husband. Whenever I hear Parveenji, I remember Pandit Chinmoy Lahiri whom I have heard so many times in Music Conferences in Bengal and in Kolkata Aakashbani.
Ustad Dilshad Khan has one of the fastest taankari.....he also has one of the widest vocal range ....a great master and musicologist par excellence who didn’t receive his due recognition .....many of his contemporaries with half his caliber have made huge names ....alas!!!
I know that he is a senior and knowledgeable musician and the husband of the great Parveenji but I don't think people will appreciate him for whatever he sang at 20:30.
Parveen sultaana ji ka koi javab nahi bahoot hi sundar hai unki gaaiki. Par ye jo unke husband the kYa, kYa karnaa kYa chah rhe the wo. Mujhe nahi lagtaa ki wo kisi bhi gaiki me aate hain.
A excellent performance by Parveen jee . but i cant really support what dilshad khan has done . that besura wailing is neither gamak or gaiki . i know i am no one to tell something like this to a elderly ustad . but i am telling this as a listener . and this 'aha ha ha aha ha aha ah' with a lot of air gapes and that one gamak with lower pitch vocal cord is just very much besura . i cant even hear it .
