@@PadminiBiswas I don't know what you are talking. But Ustadji's singing is quite unpleasant. And about being dominating, look at any interview of him and Begumji together. He is far more egotistical and cuts her off from time to time.
@@YashRakeshGawade He is old so cannot sing very well anymore. But he was Parveenji's teacher once. Watch a video of their daughter singing a bhajan. As soon as he did a pranam Parveenji gave him a nasty look.
@@PadminiBiswas Well listen to his Raag Puriya Dhanashri Jugalbandi with Begumji. He is quite young there. He is young even in this recording. But still his singing is far from the mastery he likes to boast of. And I am not alone in thinking this. Look at the comment section of the same video. Many people say the same there. And about doing a pranam, I recently attended a performance of Begumji's and after singing her famous Bhairavi 'Bhavani Dayani' she immediately does a pranam after ending it. She herself has expressed gratitude to Devi Saraswati in many of her interviews. Yes, I find it quite unpleasant that her husband had to change his faith to marry her but then again we don't know the exact situation of that time and neither can we do anything to change. Anyway, Begumji is an artist of great merit who has to make adjustments to a great extent while singing with her husband.

By no means disrespecting the knowledge he has, but he quite egotistical and loves to boast about himself for his gayki, which isn't even that great.
When it comes to gamaks and aakar, not a lot of people do justice to it. Especially people from Patiala don’t( except Bade Ghulam Ali Khan sahab). Pure aakar with gamak can be heard best in Jaipur exponents.
@@gauravdjgm Actually Begum Parveen Sultana is of the Patiala Gharana. Ustad Dilshad Khan is from the Kirana Gharana. Begumji is great at all harkats in gayki, including gamaks. About Dilshadji, the less said the better. I kind of partly hold him responsible for encouraging Parveenji to sing oddly unsynchronized taans which she sings today. She used to sing much better taans a few years ago. But, other than that, she is still a legendary singer.

They are one of the finest singers currently! Prabha Atre ji, Bhimsen ji, Ustad niaz ahmed khan sahab, ustad mashkoor ali khan, kaivalya kumar ji, jayateerth mevundi ji, arshad ali khan ji, sawani shende ji! All these! Also manik ji! And today’s top gharanas are undoubtedly kirana jaipur and patiala! Those are producing singers!

To be frank , I don't like her tonal quality. It is kind of nasal.
