One of the best songs ever written.
My friend owns a good amount of johns belongings including a few guitars..john bestowed this task to him before passing. I remember trying to play this song on the martin he has and it sounded so much like the recordings that my leg would not stop shaking. Played the lap-steel from live in Tasmania album too. Great tune.
You produced that trembling melancholic sound so well. This is one of the many Fahey pieces where you can find something new every time you listen. I can’t wait to check out the Patreon lesson
Thanks Nash. More reverb than I would normally use to try to slightly emulate the album version.
Andrew you are the man. You got the essence. Keep them coming.
That Bozo belonged to my father, and he would be very happy to see it making beautiful music again. Great playing!
Very glad Steve sent the video along. It will be cared for.
really gorgeous and unique rendition of a wonderful song. fantastic playing
This guy fucks
You are a great talent we all have been fortunate you are here and willing to share. Thanks again. JB
Thank you so much for cataloguing Fahey's work for all of us who wish to play these masterpieces ourselves :)
You are very welcome, it is my passion.
A great rendition, especially like the tone. I never managed to get those ProPik fingerpicks sounding that warm and rounded.
It took me many years to get used to fingerpicks, similar to using nails and fingers it takes a lot of time to develop the precision it takes to get rid of the sizzling sound and get the attack angle just right. Still working on it.
@@andrewlardner Ha yeah 'sizzling' is the word alright, I shall persist
Beautiful! You really nailed it.
Superb playing, and the sound is amazing, truly mesmerising.
I was a fan of Fahey and all of the guitar players you play and now in my seventeen and I am I a fond of your videos !
One of the best covers of this song i've heard. Kudos
very beautiful interpretation.. almost hearing fahey´s melancholy..wonderful job, andrew!!
One of my favorite.
Beautiful playing Andrew.
Bernard
Mind-blowing Andy🤯🤯 One could only imagine the feelings that flowed through your mind from a piece like this.. Bravo as always🙏🙏
Blues that's actually sad.
Haunting.
Beautiful man. Thank you!
Omg, the watch! Such nuance. Bravo 👏👏
; )
Little surprises every where. I don’t remember this song. That guitar just kills me.
Beautiful
That is wonderful. Another one on my must learn list.
sounds great Andy
great playing... that guitar sounds really nice
Beautiful! Sounds great on the Bozo !
Bozo Padunovac: mostly forgotten builder. Made great looking and sounding guitars. Especially in your hands.
wow. thanks. for everything.
Superb...again.
Would you consider posting a rendition of Dalhart, Texas 1967? That’s my second favourite after Beverly
You are not the first to suggest that one, so I'll have to give it some thought for the future.
I can feel it in my waters that you're going to do "on the sunny side of the ocean" imminently 😇
Amazing
Is it true that this is played a half step down from standard tuning? Thanks, and great playing as usual
dude, Dude, DUDE !
❤
Do you own all of these great old guitars? Really enjoy your playing!!
My channel is a mix of guitars I own and some that belong to friends. They come and go, I wish they could all stay!
@@andrewlardner I can relate to that! My wife says I change guitars like clothes. There are a few I dearly miss. They all have different personalities don't they? Thanks for posting all the videos. Really enjoy them.
Hi, are you planning to cover "The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party", maybe in parts? It's such a haunting and lovely tune.
I actually have been. Waiting to find the right weissenborn
Hell yeah.
Beautiful playing. Is it a vintage Bozo guitar?
Thank you Yiannis. Yes it's a 1973 model, nice and plain.
Out of the ballpark again!
Thank you!
Standard Tunning or Drop D?
Americana Classical
Nice Bozo
After careful consideration,
