Ken Norton was a good fighter and a great representative of the sport..A marine and a gentleman...Just goes to show the power of Big George...

Oooooo....Big George was scary! Considering Kenny Norton was a rock. Very awkward and hard to get to. For most cats at the time. George just cut off the ring and advanced. Sooner than than later you would catch one and that was it.

Recordar es volver a vivir, que grandes peleas se vivieron en esa época con púgiles de gran categoría como Foreman, Norton y otros, tiempos que solo atraves de la magia dela tv e Internet se vuelven a vivir.

Ali: Anybody that goes 24 rounds with me is a great fighter

    Foreman was a monster.
I wonder how the fight between him and Tyson would have gone.
I think Foreman would have knocked out Tyson.

George Foreman simply shot his bolt in that fight with Ali. By the end he was exhausted.

He underestimated how physically tough Ali was. As Foreman himself later said, he hit Ali with everything he had, over several rounds, but it didn't work - and his face was badly bruised at the end of the fight from Ali's head-shots. Ali, after the fight, looked like he'd just stepped out of the shower - there wasn't a single mark on his face.

Funny how in the first round, the announcer Sheridan overreacts to all of Norton's punches and seems to think Norton is winning. And then Ali comes in, totally biased for Norton.

Norton's style was awkward but it was good enough to break Ali's jaw. And to see Ali there at this fight is quite ironic.

Embarrassing moment for Ali who had struggled with Norton . Only to watch George demolish Kenny in two rounds.

?????????????????????? How was it 'embarrassing' for Ali??????????????????

Foreman was even scarier than Tyson. Even Hollyfield says Foreman hit the hardest. I hated hearing George say how defeated he felt after his loss to Ali, and that the gap in ability was so great. He should have gave it another shot.

      Ali didn't want a rematch..funny how all champs b4 got a rematch.. (Ali-Liston, Frazier,..but George didn't. Wonder why?

    • @johnburwood6692

@@OldielocksNmo50 foreman said on a talk show that he wanted no part of Ali after the defeat.. So maybe neither wanted a rematch in truth.

@@OldielocksNmo50 Foreman lost on points against Jimmy Young in March 1977, and retired (for the first time) from boxing after that loss - Ali had already beaten Young, on points, in April 1976. Ali didn't owe Foreman anything - both Jimmy Young and Ken Norton were ranked ahead of Foreman for the right to face Ali at that time.

Even though Ali beat Foreman in Zaire and absorbed undo punishment in doing so/ a younger Ali's style was the template for beating Foreman/ as it was suicide to trade inside with him !!!###

Not Ken Norton’s best fight. Not even sure what his fight plan was, it seems like his plan was to mop the canvas with his back.

Clay was an imbecile that had the gift of gab like few people that have ever lived... except maybe Ric Flair.
And yes he was a great fighter, but his mouth was his greatest weapon.
