When I first played this game I believe I played without fusion, while I like Bo as a regular character, he is nowhere near as powerful as Shin. By using the Fusion tech you can EFFECTIVELY use three party members (and level them up). You don't HAVE to, but there isn't much reason not to.
Wait, what reflection? If it was in the water from her back, it should have been the same left-to-right; the reflection would have been flipped vertically, not horizontally.
Okay, now that we've seen *all* the stuff that's changed that I know of with going to the item shop in Mogu's Nightmare, I think I can do a bit of a rundown on the differences between the SNES and GBA versions. Though keep in mind I'm going off of vague memories and might not have ever known all of them in the first place. In approximate order of appearance: 1. The default name for the lead character was randomly changed. To Zach. I don't agree with this one, so I just name him Ryu instead and be done with it. 2. You can run by holding B while walking, like a lot of other RPGs started doing from the PS1 era on (FFII and III US didn't have the ability to hold cancel to run, for instance). The UI was also changed for the smaller screen. 3. The P. Bugs were changed so they can attack physically. Many have mentioned that, since you addressed it in the relevant episodes, but what many may not know is that their having a 100% chance to use Poison was a glitch added in localization of the original version. On the SFC release in Japan, they don't automatically use Poison. 4. Some bosses, like Frog, were weakened a bit. Obviously this might've been to help with the relative "Early Game Hell" this game has. 5. The name of the first boomerang weapon was changed from Rang to Foil. My guess is that this makes it harder to confuse with the later ones. 6. This one I'm not so sure about, but reading comments reminded me that you might not be able to use Mrbl1s with the Dragon forms. They might still be worth it for fused Karn, but I think this is a pretty significant nerf still, to give bosses later on more staying power most likely. 7. Similar to 5, but more so: The FlameSH you get toward the top of Agua with Karn had its name changed to LavaSH. The FlameSH you buy in Gust didn't get its name changed. 8, and as far as I'm aware, last. The name of the infamous "Curex9" item in that item shop was corrected, to "Lifex9". Please note, though, that I may have missed some stuff on the way, and so I'd welcome replies giving other differences, no matter what they are, or being specific on *which* bosses were weakened, and how (Frog is the only one I know about)
Reflection HAHAHA... the water would have made it a vertical reflection (top to bottom) not a horizontal one therefore the colors would still be in the same order... game fail :P
10:50.... My nightmare as a child is revived. The ONLY part in the game I despised. Same for Motes area as well. >.< *shudders* I seem to recall being able to hit him once with a spell before he got too strong.
There was an error in processing the original episode. This corrects it.
5:00 Hee hee...YAY CATFIGHT
I was really shocked that they actually made a bossfight that you couldn't win directly. But the thing is, i really like this idea!
8:27 kitty wants your love now!
The Princess has marks on her back... it's a tattoo of Woodstock.
The Ice cave in Final fantasy 1... oh, i remember that day like it was yesterday!
Oddly enough, the NPC guards has a different reaction if a female character is in the lead.
Should have made a Courage the Cowardly Dog reference. :< I loved that show~
In addition to the Cave to Rhone another dungeon I've heard him mention is the Ice Cave in one of the Final Fantasy games.
4:54 cat fight
here's looking forward to the possibilty of a Booty-Booty-Booty episode

The castle theme in this game makes me think of some man dancing with a cane in some musical number
"He's a peeping Tom".

5:42 I see Nina likes to spend the night with two gentlemen...
Also, anyone else find it interesting in the land full of hot girls, the treasure chests contain a pair of melons? After a chick fight? Hmmmmmm....

That was a very bizarre sequence. Methinks something was lost in translation,
How many actual "Call of Booty"episodes does HC have in his channel? haha It's there in almost every LP
*sigh* Princesses and their age... Of course the princess would get betrayed. But I guess she hasn't played this jRPG before. Right?
Obviously, I can't say for certain, but he DOES mention the "Cave to Rhone" from Dragon Warrior 2 in comparison to a challenging dungeon.
Guess something screwed up with the original one huh?
I don't suppose you remembered to buy Mogu an IronCW?
Yeah, I definitely agree about mixing up the generals. Kind of reminds me of Kill Bill.
HCBailly, what's the most dreaded, dangerous, and nastiest dungeon you ever went through in any game you played and why?
This dream sequence is both my favorite and least favorite part of the game.

13:13 Sinistar, is that you?

Was it vichimaps?
VGMaps. They have excellent marked maps there.
they are blue switches in the gba version of the game
why the re load
Must be the worst enemies in the game.
