I am glad you made the same mistake as I did when selecting C2 instead of C-2 I have been going crazy for two days trying to configure the MIDI network to work between two windows machines! Super helpful! Thank you!
Thank you!! I use this for lyrics and goes very well but when I send cues for videos in some cases give me latency, what's the best option to run videos?
Hey Bryan, if you're experiencing latency with videos, the best way is to put the cues a little earlier. It usually has to do with the processing power of the computer from the video running in Ableton.
I followed all the steps, but I can't get any midi from my ableton mac to my presenter mac. They're both connected on the same network on the Audio Midi Setup, and my output on ableton is correct, but my presenter mac isn't receiving any midi. My output in ableton is checked off in the Track column for "Out: IAC Drive (IAC Bus 1). Is anyone else experiencing this?
I'm still not able to get this to work. If you're on a network plugged up via LAN on both computers, could the network that our IT created have some type of block between each computer? I've tried WIFI only, I've tried plugging in both computers. But no matter what our ProPresenter computer doesn't see the midi notes I'm sending. Any thoughts or help??!!
Following! I've switched from an older mac to a newer one and it will not pick up the midi notes on the PP computer. It used to run flawless on the old computer.
Hey Dale, Windows computers don't provide a built in way to do this, but you can go to Ableton's website and they explain a software that can help set this up. Here is a link. The Windows part is at the bottom: help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209071169-Sending-and-receiving-MIDI-messages-using-a-virtual-MIDI-network.
Maybe it's just me... but why in the world couldn't you edit out the +10 minutes of muzak from the beginning of the video? Really annoying. I finally thought, "Let me see if this is just the same muzak playing the entire time... but then why would it have 99 likes?!??!" and scrolled forward.

Very helpful! Thank you!

Hey @loop Thanks for the video! I was wondering is it possible to be spontaneous when you get to the end of a song when using cues for pro presenter?
You could mute the MIDI track in Ableton Live then it would stop triggering the slides to transition.

How do you do this on a Windows computer? What's the difference with the IAC Driver part? My church uses a windows system for slides.

Is this possible on windows 10 with Ableton 10
Yes!
How would hat work your video is using a Mac
You can setup a MIDI network on a Windows computer if you use RTP MIDI. www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.htm
Hi everybody
Is there somewhere to download these commands?
The commands inside ProPresenter should be found in Preferences!
Loop Community Sorry I meant your midi clips you made. Like a free download somewhere?
@@ChrisReardon we don't have those to download unfortunately.
Is anyone having a problem selecting live and routing in midi network set up?
I don’t have any options.. Just a check mark and a line.
@@dawid7363 Hey Edward, where specifically are you running into issues?
