I played oboe for a couple of years from late middle school to early high school but it was just too expensive just to replace the reeds with the low income of my parents. My teacher said in his 15 years he had taught music, i was the most promising oboe player he ever had but my reeds would get worn out fast from practicing constantly and doing so many school concerts that it became a burden. One reed would cost anywhere from $15-$25 so, i eventually picked up alto saxophone for the remainder of high school. The oboe can be one of the most obnoxious sounding instruments ever but once you get really good with it, it can be beautiful. It's not as tough as everyone makes it out to be. I had more trouble with trumpet and saxophone in terms of it sounding actually good. My biggest gripe with oboe was that there were a ton of different ways to play the same exact notes and the reeds are so brittle that just the soak and pinch could ruin your reed before your performance if not done right.
I never noticed the dude walking in front of the camera during the opening monologue lol Bo lookin' offended. Also I find it hilarious how he tries not to look at or make eye contact with the girl in the bra haha
Some of us have so little musical knowledge to even know what that means. The funny thing is my wife is a great singer and understands so much about music and all 3 of our sons have been all-state choir almost every year they were eligible. I can't even clap my hands to a beat or if I do my wife says I doing both beats (whatever that means).

When they label would give them 100,000 - 200,000 advancement so they felt like YEA I got something, then bought a car, jewelry, maybe a house.. So by time the Album was done, or the 1st one.. They spent the money from the advancement and was left with NOTHING.. sometimes owing.. My old boss told PPL SAVE your advancement till your done.. let it make you money.. not many listened.. It's sad.. cause then like some Producer's and labels (like puff) would have them sign over the publishing deal... and they will make all the royalties ... crazy

We used to joke in high school that playing the oboe or bassoon (both double-reeded and difficult instruments) was a full ride scholarship.
