Fantastic..I learn a bunch from your videios...
Great to hear! This was fun to do. Thanks for watching.
Amazing! I cant wait to wash, buff maybe restore my first tank.
A little elbow grease goes a long way. Thanks for watching.
That is definitely a sweet color combo, I always use some wax too
Buffing and polishing makes such a difference if more people were like you we could save more original paint. Thanks for watching.
just got this same bike/ tank in a bar find! Going to use these steps!! Thank you, subscribed. Waiting for part three of the series!
Awesome! Thank you! Part 3 will be out later this week.
Outstanding video! Thanks for the great tips! I'm a new subscriber and I thank you for sharing how to revive old paint! Keep up the great work:)
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome
Thanks for watching Tommy.
Got a 1984 VT500FT Ascot that I need to do something similar to. No dents, but definitely needs some help (stains from fuel spillage, etc.) Would Honda have gone to a two stage paint by 1984 or still single stage? I want to preserve that factory Honda metallic red. Your CB360 tank came out great, BTW. Always liked that color combo as well as the orange.
I would test with a fine wet sand paper. 1500 or higher. You will know right away. It will either be clear or red when you do it. And if it’s clear you just have to bug and polish like you would if it was single stage.
If it is clear over color the gas stains may be in the clear so wet sanding may get them out.
Test in the least conspicuous area. Thanks for watching.
Hey Eric, thanks for the video. I have a 1974 CB-360 tank that going to take one more step, someone rattled can painted the tank with black paint. I was planning on using Saran Wrap and Acetone method to remove the black paint. Any input would be appreciated.

I have had luck with nail polish remover(acetone and non-acetone) on paint spots. Haven't tried an entire tank. It can't hurt. You have to paint it anyway. lol
@@motorcyclerewind I’m hoping I don’t have to paint it.
What product do you use for the ceramic coating?
AMMO NYC Reflex Pro ammonyc.com/collections/exterior/products/ammo-reflex-pro
Its expensive product
I like to preserve tank paint as well, nice tips. What is spray away?
It's actually Sprayway Glass Cleaner (I always call it Spray Away). www.spraywayinc.com
