Took me a while but I've literally reached the point where it's touch and go whether I can make it halfway through a CLIP. I've been a Woodworth defender for the longest time but he isn't remotely endearing anymore. It seems like every time anything remotely adjacent to politics comes up he starts doing that smug, excited shift from side to side in his chair (you know the one) like he can't wait to get Reddit's opinion out and bask in his gud boi points. It's genuinely nauseating. They'd do themselves a big favour by banning politics talk on the show, tbh - but frankly I'm not sure Woody would have anything else to say at this point he's so far gone. I'm not a yank and I don't much care about politics (my general opinion is that they're all a bunch of cunts and wake me up when someone mentions the global banking cartel) but Woody has single-handedly demonstrated to me that TDS is a legit thing. The man is literally mindbroken.
I started off keen to listen to these guys, but woody is just a flat put oxygen thief. Absolutely no idea at all.
@anneominous7172 if you are not American I'd skip the politics talk, I'm from Canada so I usually skip those parts, but this can Rob you of some pretty funny jokes or impressions from Taylor so I catch a few clips usually.. but yeah I would genuinely skip these if you are not from the US, you might actually enjoy the show for once.

Woody isn’t wrong about not wanting to report immediately on the attempt. Keep in mind this is the first time it happened on live TV where the president got up and where everyone had a camera. I could be wrong about The Reagan attempt but I don’t believe it was on live TV. Either way, I don’t believe this is why they took so long to report it but it is a valid point to not want to cause mass hysteria.
@@MrTacosBDthat was initially before anything was found out. I tuned in before even a gunman was found so it does make sense still to not jump the gun. Even still, most stations at least had “assassination attempt” in their headline within the first hour or two.
