If you're going to use Thessalonians don't forget second Thessalonians. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 KJV "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
Matthew 24:29-31 KJV "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."
There is a total absence of even the suggestion of a pre-tribulation rapture in the Bible.
The Bible clearly does not allow for a pre-tribulaton rapture:
a. The Lord Jesus specifically prayed that the church NOT be taken out of the world (John 17:15). For the pre-tribulation rapture to be true, the Father would have to ignore the Son's prayer. Impossible.
b. The Lord Jesus said no one knows the day or hour of His coming; but if pre-tribulation rapture is true, then everyone would know that He is returning exactly 7 years after the rapture. Impossible.
c. The Apostle Paul clearly wrote that the rapture happens at the "last trumpet" (1 Cor. 15:51f). Since there are trumpets during the tribulation, the pre-tribulation rapture is impossible.

I was an Idol Worshiper But was Saved by His grace through faith in the Finished Work on the Cross as my Savior when I was 19 years. Today I am 71 and He is dearer to me I am looking forward to His BLESSED Coming to Be With Him ( My Savior and Lord ). Praise be to Our Lord Jesus. What a Blessed Day that would be! Amen.
Excellent stuff by Credible bible scholars who do exegesis rather than eisogesis.. Scripture is it's own interpretor.. Let's keep in mind that we can disagree on the minors but not the majors. . *Solo* _Amen_ to what you said. What is alarming in recent days (it is 11/29/2018 as I post), is there has been a rise in the "mid" trib or "post trib-prewrath" teaching, namely by Anderson and his cult. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for their attitudes.
They've held meetings that were promoted with Anderson *YELLING* and motioning with a *BATTERING RAM* that the pre tribulation position will be taken down altogether. Now, add to all the antics, and his fan base hurl insults, call names (and *VILE* ones!) when you post up the opposing position. Quite sad actually.

"and there is laid up for me in heaven the crown of righteousness...and not only to me but to all those who have loved His appearing.." It is an attitude that Jesus and the Word encourages as a preparation, as a comfort, as an encouragement..." The bride can't wait for the wedding day!"

The 2nd Chapter of 2nd Thessalonians is always ignored or avoided by these preachers... because it determines that the Rapture... or gathering as it’s called here... will not happen until the man of lawlessness is revealed.

Christ is COMING with clouds. This would be a second coming ...it's surely not the first
The spirit of God moved upon the waters also Jesus turn the water into wine and washed his disciples feet with water and baptize with water although Jesus baptized no one. He is coming with the clouds!
Since we will come reign with Christ during the Millenium, and then the existing Heaven will be destroyed and made new, when else will we reside in our current Heavenly mansions, for the customary wedding feast, than during the 7 year tribulation! Pretribulation rapture is the only timing that meets scripture, for us, His bride, to celebrate according to Hebrew custom.

Accordingly to Jesus himself in the 24th chapter of Matthew he says he will not go.e in anyway in a secret coming ,black and white

This verses is enough to Prove Christ comes after the son of perdition is revealed. but it gets more interesting to know that christ destroys the lawless one with the brightness of his coming . So it is evident that on his coming rapture happens and lawless one is destroyed.

Matthew 24:29 says that Yeshua comes back after the Tribulation of those days.
Jesus can not come back to the Earth until He has redeemed His Body , which is His Bride His Church Bride , once He does that , and all indignation is over He will return back to the Earth with His Bride to rule reign and judge all people and Nations
Jesus cannot do anything or pour out His wrath until His Bride is caught up and received by Him that's why it's a pre Tribulation Rapture , just like Lot and his family were Pre Flood Judgement and God could not do anything until Lot and his family were out of the city

You are correct. They wont read it for what it says. They want to add to it so they can feel special. The same passages from 24:29-31 says the same thing they want to say. Jesus is in the clouds and not touch the ground. People are caught up in the air but they don't go to Heaven they are in the air where the birds are then Jesus will destroy the enemy and land with His people on the Mount in triumph. Not one verse in the Bible says you are raptured and go back to Heaven.
The Rapture, He will come as a thief in the night; No Bells, No Banners. Jesus will draw us to Him...those who love Him.

The ones that are caught off guard are the unbelievers. That day will not come unless the abomination of desolation is revealed first. Read Matthew 24: 29-31 and this is what Paul was speaking of in Thess.

You're exactly right!! I was raised believing in a secret rapture, but study shows this is a complete mis-interpretation of the relevant scripture. Paul explicitly tells us we will see the abomination of desolation. It's so clear to me now it's as if it's being ignored on purpose.
At the Second Coming, Jesus returns WITH His saints and angels to fight the Battle of Armageddon in the valley of Megiddo. This is in sharp contrast to all the other Scriptures about the trumpet, the voice of the archangel, being changed in the twinkling of an eye and meeting in the clouds. Clearly we are looking at two separate events here; namely, the Rapture versus the Second Coming. When Jesus comes FOR us at the Rapture, we will be caught up into the clouds. When Jesus returns WITH us at the Second Coming, we will return to the earth.

I think Jimmy knows alot more than anyone here. He preaches over there, he studied, has degrees, he lives what he preaches. His little finger knows more about this than anyone disagreeing with him. Debate him on video so we can all see it and laugh at you. Jimmy knows his stuff. A true prophetic and biblical scholar. He has even found proof from the scripture AND Talmud and old temple writings where Jesus was born in December. Done.
When Jesus is talking in Matthew, he says people will still be getting married and be living normal lives? I’m kind of confused by this because He isn’t taking to the Church, but the Tribulation saints. I’d be thinking it will be chaos here...

To me the most complicated part in revelation is the 1000 reign of Christ. It says there will be 1000 years of peace because God binds up Satan then he lets him loose one last time after the 1000 years and then eventually Christ destroys him for good. My question would be this why bind Satan up to begin with rather than just destroying him once and for all and why the 1000 year reign and then come back again? Must be honest it is very confusing. Anybody’s thoughts?
When the millennial reign begins there will still be humans living as humans. Children being born, growing and living life. It says Christ rules with a "Rod of Iron" . Why, a rod of iron? Because there will be peace on earth but man will still be sinful. Then Satan is released because the people born during this time have never been tempted. You see we have a free will, we must be tempted to be given the choice. above all God is just, bound by his own word. How could we live in a pure heaven unless we're washed in the blood of salvation. Everyone to the last person must come through the fire.

Even so, Amen.” This is Christ's Second Coming TO THE EARTH. In sharp contrast, the saints are privately caught up into the clouds at the Rapture, to meet the Lord in the air, and Jesus DOES NOT set foot upon the earth for 7 years. The unsaved world does NOT witness the Rapture of the Church.

The point is, Tom, if words are not actually in the Bible, it is incumbent upon the person claiming the doctrine to prove it.

All of this is confusing. If Jesus went to prepare a place so where he is we can also be, when do ever get a chance to go to heaven to that place? How are we coming back with him at the second coming if we are still here on earth when he returns? If we are caught up at his return, do we then meet up with him in the air, get our translated bodies, saddle up our horse and come on back down for battle?
the place he is preparing is inside you if your his elect. we are built into the body of Christ meaning his church.
Think about this Rev 21:1 - heaven and earth will pass away. vs 2 New Jerusalem, Christ is preparing us as saints with his spirit of truth, the new man, he dwells inside a believer of his word. remember God is the word, so if you understand his word, we have God in us.
Don't listen to some people, the Bible clearly talk about the Rapture, it IS Biblical and WILL happen. Jesus wouldn't let His bride go through the Great Tribulation, almost no Christian would survive that, there would be no bride left. First he comes FOR the church, then He comes WITH the church. First He comes in the clouds, then He comes to earth. The Rapture is true and it is Biblical. God bless you!

Rapture is just a word to describe "catching away". They mean the same thing. So, you could say ; "when Jesus comes to catch away the believers" or you could say; "when Jesus comes to rapture the believers", it is the same thing. Many people use the term trinity to describe the godhead, however, that specific word is not found in scripture. I hope this clears up the confusion on the word rapture.
John 10:12 "the wolf catcheth them, and scatter the sheep" the word catcheth = 726 Harpazo so is it 2 raptures ? one by Christ, and one by satan ?

If there is a pre trib rapture there will be 3 resurrections, the bible is very clear that there are only 2 resurrections.

I believe many well intentioned christians are innocently misguided. Are you comming to repentance because you will be raptured or because Jesus is Lord; our savior? If the unrepentant arent saved they won't be raptured either. That is what we should be focused on. If there is a rapture you ready; if there is not rapture your still ready as the Lord will see you thru to the end. Let all christians focus on that; to come to repentance first and then lets speak of the rapture, which I believe in.

The use of Matthew Chap 24 to make a distinction between "coming of the Son of Man" and the Rapture is mistaken.
The passage says that the Son of Man will come at an occasion when people 'think not' - in other words, they can't possibly know when Jesus' Second Coming will be.
But if the Second Coming of Christ occurs after 7 years of Tribulation (which we most certainly know is 7 years, as Revelation makes clear), then anyone on Earth who was going through the Tribulation and had been counting the days WOULD indeed know when the time of the 2nd Coming of Jesus would be!
But Jesus, in Matthew 24 says they WON'T know.
The only way that people could NOT know when Jesus is coming (for whatever reason) is if Jesus was coming to take away those who were to be Saved.
Secondly, it is no coincidence that Noah and his family were in the Ark a WHOLE WEEK before the Flood came. [Genesis 7:10 - 10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.]
The waiting in patience of Noah's family in a place of refuge BEFORE the tribulation of that time - the Flood - is parallel to the waiting in patience of the Saved in a place of refuge BEFORE the Tribulation.
Further, the parable of the Foolish and Wise Virgins which follows hard on the heels of Matthew 24 (which uses the Flood story as a parallel for the oncoming Tribulation) is another hint that there will be a taking away of the Faithful - NOT the Unfaithful. Matthew 25:10 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
It's patently evident that Jesus is talking about the taking away of the Faithful to be with Him BEFORE the Tribulation.
ALL the statements made regarding "taking away" in Matthew Chaps 24 - 25 refer to a taking away of the Faithful - NOT the Damned.
Therefore, Jesus' words in Matthew 24 - 25 refer to the Rapture of the Faithful NOT some kind of damnation exercise.
Lastly, it makes no sense - nor is there any justice or need - for Jesus to return and then conveniently remove all the Damned. Why would God do such a hateful thing? Why would He make a 7-Year Tribulation of utterly wretched misery and ruin - where millions of people would be martyred for Christ - and Billions put through abject agony... all for what? Only so He can return and then "hey-presto!" all the Bad People are suddenly Not There?!?!
Nonsense! What kind of sadistic monster of a god would do that?
The answer is - NOT our God and Lord of Life. God would NOT do such a thing.
Besides, 'taking away the Wicked' flatly contradicts what is said in Revelation about the 2nd Resurrection which talks about the NON-Saved being judged according to their works. If the Damned are damned upon Christ's Second Coming, then they are damned for all time. Yet Revelation has no such scenario.
There is the Great Rapture BEFORE the Tribulation. All references to "taking away" refer to that Rapture. Then there is the Tribulation. Then there is the Second Coming. Then there is the Resurrection of the Faithful. Then there is the Millennium. Then there is the Second Resurrection of those who died not knowing Christ. Then the Great White Throne Judgment where those who died not knowing Christ are judged according to their works - the good thereof passing into glory. Then Eternity.

If you want a Book of the Bible which outlines it all simply, you're not going to get it. The Bible is a jigsaw which requires deep concentration. It was produced over millennia... and spans millennia... and covers TWO major salvations plans; neither of which was totally apparent to those who were charged with writing the books.

Meanwhile, here's a quick overview.
The prophet Daniel was given to understand that 70 "weeks" had been determined by God to finish up all prophecy and dealings with Israel. All this is in Daniel 9:24-27.
A "week" is a Jewish time-count comparable to our 'decade' - a period of 7 years, in the Jewish case. Thus, 70 'weeks' is 490 years. Lord Jesus announced His Messiah-ship exactly on the day of the conclusion of the 483rd year. What then, of the Last Week? Even after Christ's resurrection, the Apostles asked Christ if He intended to restore the Kingdom to Israel. They fully expected that the Last Week would ensue. It didn't. Not then. We know that God doesn't change his mind like that - not when it comes to prophecy. He can forestall... delay... hold off... but judgment of God will come. Instead of initiating the Last Week, God extended the Gospel to the Gentiles. This is all explained clearly enough in the writings of Paul. So... are we to think that God has forgotten the Last Week? Church Triumphalists and Preterists would love to interpret it so. But the prophecies of Revelation, attending to the Tribulation, oblige an understanding which must have it that the Jews in the Last Days will accept Christ - not at His Second Coming. So... when does all this '70th week' happen?
It must be the self-same 7 year period that spans the Tribulation and we DO know the Bible DOES show that the Tribulation period is 7 years. Again, in Daniel:
Daniel 9:27 He [the antichrist world ruler of that time] will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.
If someone wants to say "Oh that's rubbish! That's in DANIEL!!! We're talking about the Book of Revelation!" Okay.... here's a challenge. WHEN, after the time of Daniel, was there a world ruler who established a covenant with Israel for 7 years and who, then, in the middle of that covenant broke it and made an "abomination of desolation"? The Seleucid Ephiphanes cannot be this person because he DIDN'T rule the (known) world and he never make a covenant with Israel. It had to be someone else, yet to come. So the Preterists are wrong.
The Tribulation is yet to occur. It will last 7 years. God's prophecies concerning Israel WILL be fulfilled.
As for there being a PRE Tribulation period, I think I've already demonstrated that logically and consistently. If you reject my interpretation, fine. But basically you have to then accept a whole lot of other consequences which I find repugnant of a merciful God....

MeatTheBible You're not understanding Jesus' parable of the 5 Foolish and 5 Wise virgins correctly. The 5 Wise virgins brought oil against the darkness (because they did not know when the BrideGroom would come), and so when waiting in the darkness they were not dismayed. The Foolish virgins did NOT bring oil and so, when the darkness came they HAD TO GO AND GET SOME. Because they were NOT ready when the BrideGroom arrived, they missed out on the WEDDING. Now, in your understand ALL Virgins (Christians expecting Christ) will go through the Tribulation - but it is abundantly clear in the parable that those who have prepared for Christ's gathering up will NOT go through the full night of darkness and will certainly be with Christ at the Wedding Feast of The Lamb. If your interpretation has it that ALL Christians must go through the Tribulation, then I say you worship a cruel and vicious God! What kind of God would tell his Beloved "Wait for me... Wait for me... Wait for me... Suffer all misery and persecution and pain and even death for me... and THEN I will come for you!"

Why have some chosen to consider only the 2nd meaning and totally ignoring the many verses in Old Testament that is very clear and unambiguous.
2 Corinthians 11: 2 > For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
(chaste virgin = undefiled compared to unfaithful whoring Israel; chaste virgin because believers have been washed by the blood of the Lamb and made as white as wool even though their sullied past may have been as red as crimson.

We all know that GOD hates adultery - both spiritual and physical. HE has not abandoned HIS wife but as the Faithful Husband is waiting for her to give up forever her running after strange gods.
Spiritual Jerusalem, as the heart of Israel, is the Bride of Christ and therefore the Church should not covet that which is the reality from millenniums ago in the past. Faithful husband, is a clear declaration that God is faithful to Israel, even though Israel had indulged in spiritual adultery, and that He would wait till she realised her folly, going through the Great Tribulation and then calls upon His name at the end of this age, when everybody has abandoned her. It's not about Him identifying the church as His bride, because multiple times HE refers to Himself as Israel's husband.

The God that created the universe is unable to raise people up and bring them down in a short time. That's what you're claiming? Of all the arguments against post trib, that's one of the lamest. Show me a verse that says Jesus will be coming 2 more times. I'm anxious to see that passage. Jesus was asked by his disciples to tell them what to expect in the last days. Jesus told them, and in his description of what would happen, he never said he was coming before the trouble to snag us out. He DID tell them he would come at the end tho. Explain why he failed to comfort them with news that they'd be taken before? Pre trib rapture is not found in the bible.

If you believe that you MUST experience The Tribulation (i.e., God's wrath), then you are proclaiming to those who will listen to you (Thank God, not many!) that you are ENEMIES of God (Nahum 1:2) and, therefore, not His children, i.e., not born-again believers.

He completely ignores the verse before I Thessalonians 4:16-17 because this would destroy his argument: "We who are alive and remain until the COMING of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep." If this "Coming" of the Lord is not the Second Coming, then which coming is it? Irrefutable, Biblical proof that the resurrection and rapture will happen at the COMING of the Lord, which by definition has to be the Second Coming. The pre Tribulation rapture doesn't have a single verse to stand on.

The Coming of the Son of Man

In light of those Old Testament parallels, I’m convinced that the elect here in Matthew 24:31 are not Church saints but the people of Israel who have been scattered throughout the world, perhaps even more specifically the faithful remnant of Jews who have become believers in the Lord during the seven year Tribulation period and are still alive on the face of the earth at His glorious second coming back to the earth immediately after the Tribulation period. He will gather together this faithful remnant of Jews from all over the world back to the land of Israel with the sound of a great trumpet.
