It would not be impossible since NJPW and CMLL have a long-standing relationship so much so that NJPW does not fight with wrestlers who are or have been from AAA out of loyalty to CMLL.
Saw Volador Jr at a local lucha libre show 15 minutes away from where I live two years ago he's an awesome luchador to headline an event in a six man tag team match and coming from one the oldest wrestling promotions CMLL just hope my favorite Barbaro Cavernario can come to AEW one day

I wouldn’t say it was much of an adaption given 90% of teams don’t wrestle a tag style properly anymore, including this match (half of it involved none legal competitors in the ring yet the ref never started a count and no one was holding a tag rope) and these 4 guys have a combined 40 years experience wrestling in Japan and the US mostly in tag matches so have plenty of experience(Mascara Dorada 2 years, Hechicero 8 years, Mistico 14 years and Volador Jr 16 years).
How Chris Daniels not get as popular as Samoa Joe or AJ styles is beyond me, they had amazing matches back in the days together. To stay on topic, interesting to see these new guys from CMLL, not seen them before.

Its weird to see CMLL adapt to a tag team styled fight but I'm glad CMLL made its debut to AEW.
How? All four of these guys have tagged together multiple times in the last year in cmll.
