The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
In 2019, Ryan had a stroke and was not expected to live. Doctors told Jenni to take him to a facility in Utah where she worked with his therapists and doctors. She has tirelessly stayed by Ryan's side until he was able to go home.
Before the stroke, Ryan had just finished school and got a job at the American Falls hospital as their CT Tech and X-ray Tech. In order to take the job, they had to live within a certain range of the hospital. They bought a house that needed some repairs, knowing that his income would be able to cover these expenses. Ryan is not able to hold a job now. Jenni decided to start online courses towards a medical degree.
Jenni makes sure all of Ryan's needs are met. Jenni does it with a good attitude and is always finding time for her neighbors and extended family.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to pay Jenni and Ryan a visit with an early Christmas gift. Watch the surprise in the video player above!

The person who submitted to SS about their story didn't say they needed a new car. The letter stated the couple had been in rough times.
Yeah....I bet that was a little tough for Secret Santa to hear how much a new car was needed because I suspect he'd have gone that route if he knew.

Also makes me realize how many hurting people there are in the community. I live in a much bigger city than what they cover and there is so much hurt and need in these small communities. I can only imagine what it’s like in bigger cities.

I don't know if you'll ever get to see this but I felt compelled to share my story with you. My mother had a stroke almost 20 years ago and was given a 10% chance of surviving surgery. When she came through we celebrated but it was a struggle. She was the main income for the household and she had a goldfish memory, completely lost reading comprehension, and was severely physically weakened on her left side. We were told that she would likely be disabled permanently. There's a memory loss medication called Arisept (spelling might be wrong) that helped her regain her short-term memory. She struggled through PT and did facial exercises in the mirror daily to work on the droopiness.
It might seem pretty bleak at first but my mom is physically back to normal and fully mentally capable now (despite losing reading comprehension) and has been for the last several years. It will be a journey but when you're finally out the other side each moment of the day becomes a beautiful gift. The small annoyances won't matter as much. It might seem to take forever but I hope you both see that day soon. Never lose hope 💜
Wish she could get a car because she said she needed it. But she seemed so thankful. Life must be hard, really hard. God bless.
Personally, I doubt if she could afford the upkeep of a car. I am sure she is happy with what she received.

I have the same syndrome and have noticed it's a seasonal thing. Must be the weather or something. The part I can't seem to figure out is why this leaky eyeball syndrome gets worse when I watch these videos. Weird. These are wonderful videos though, so I guess I'll just deal with the syndrome. To be honest this business of giving money away to people who need a helping hand so badly is the most wonderful thing to watch - we all give a little to charity but can you imagine how it would feel to be able to plan a regular period of helping people like this - that would be such a blessing for any wealthy person - many of whom do very little but spend it on themselves - Bah Humbug to them - think about what YOU could do for so many in need !
