I’ll never forgive Glee for not having Rachel and Kurt sing “Defying Gravity” at the Broadway Theatre that features the play Wicked. It’d be the perfect place for Kurt to reveal to Rachel that he did in fact knew how to hit that high ‘f’ note and that he let her win on purpose for his dad.
There was NO compariso nnot even CLOSE, as impresssive as Kurt's falsetto was, Rachel's NATURAL range had so much more power, strength and projection than any OBJECTIVE listener could tell her version was CLEARLY superior. I know the SHOW had Kurt "throwing" the competition but for real she was just BETTER!

the chance to fly!”
I’m defying gravity!
And you won’t bring me down,
bring me down,
bring me down!
この歌めっちゃ好き。初めて聞いた時泣いた……
Santana reaction is priceless after kurt stares daggers at rachel omg I cant stop watching RIP angel 🙏🏽🕊
I know it was supposed to be a contest but I love both of their performances so much.
A mi igual me encantaron los 2
Here is an unpopular opinion I think Kurt would have lost even if he didn’t purposely blow the note cause I think Rachel just sounded better as also there is just something about they way she was singing the song vs the way Kurt and if you listen to the song on glee complete season 2 album you can hear Rachel vs Kurt on more parts and Rachel just pours more soul into you can also hear Kurt not faking the high not but barley cause he was being outshined by Rachel and especially at the end Rachel did was amazing
Edit: is it just me or does anyone else think kurt only would have won if he didn’t blow the note because glee likes him better. At the end of the day Rachel sounds better but she is just too annoying to the glee club to have won this
I believe he threw it on purpose b/c he knew he'd lose, it's an excuse. Just speculation though.
@@tonysmith5072 lol...watch the series to find out why he threw it. He did it for his dad actually cause he was afraid for him singing that song cause it was meant to be done by a woman. He wanted to do this song his whole life but being gay in a small town, made him a target and his dad was scared for him.
I Love Kurt,He's My Fave, But Honestly,I Think She Did Do It Better
Rachel’s is a lot more impressive because Kurt sings in head voice whereas Rachel sings in chest voice which is far more powerful
Nobody_cares_Jasmine 100% agree with you !!!
i didnt even watch this show but the way cory looks at her at 1:09
holy fuck my heart 😭😭😭
Love Kurt!!!!❤️
Does anyone else notice that Chris golfer messed up the lip sync...? In one of the last "I'll sooner by defying gravity" he says "I'll think I'll try" and...
True kkkkkj
I love this song
Omg I watch glee it’s like- ✨perfect✨
This song was literally written for Rachels voice type. Kurt can hit the notes. But his voice is thinner and not designed for this song.
I was 21 when this first aired. It still makes me feel the same ten years later.
gleeもこの曲も大好き
Kurt's parts gave me goosebumps 😄 he's actually so amazing
it wasn't strong as rachels like the original is
01:00 : I'm through accepting limits, cos someone says they are so.
Kurt: stares at Mr. Shue.
Me: Exhales...😊
The people saying Kurt could’ve won if he tried are DELUSIONAL, hate her all you want but Rachel ate him up
Wow excellent, I like Rachel’s voice
I love how they did the scene transitions during this song. It was magical.
Wicked 2024 remember this cover😢
I love Kurt so much ❤❤ love her voice!!
Every time I watch Glee I have a new favorite song. ^_^
A lot of people hated Rachel, I mean she was cringey once in a while and she made mistakes, but she knew how great she was and didn’t waste time to hide it like others did. I respected that she didn’t try to fake humility! Her personality and appreciation for others developed over time, so you do see she doesn’t always put her ego first like she did in high school. I think she had great character development!
I liked her 10 episodes into season one, after that she started showing her true colors. But not gonna lie she is a good singer
I remember this.episode it was one of my favorite
She has one of the best voices I've ever heard
i could listen to this song for hours but, they should’ve done a duet
They both so talented
I can stop repeat
I love it
no one cannot beat this!!!!!!!!!!!!111
I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and ever was far away of musicals. Glee literally changed my life. In a moment which I was so lonely, God gave me a gift, this gift, this show. In that moment of my life, I felt like a person of this show: marginated and very lonely. After some years I could resolve all this problems but Glee helped me very much to overcome this bad moments. By the way, before Glee, I didn’t know about Broadway. Whit Glee I knew “Defying gravity” and fell in love. Three years ago I was in Broadway in front of theatre of Wicked. I cannot to buy the ticket because I didn’t have money but I promised me that the next time I would go to the show and I will listen this song. Thank you god for the music and this show.
Omg I love glee, one of my favorite shows.Their covers are the best.❤️
The first contact I had with a Broadway musical and now there's nothing I love more in my life... That's what Glee did to us
For me that was High School Musical

Since Glee is on Netflix, I’m constantly thinking about it. I was 8 the first time I’ve seen it, now I’m 16 and I’m grateful ❤️
Wow, I can't believe it's been almost 4 years since I last heard this song back in college. Fresh memories came flashing back again.
