While it's running does the heads , side of the pistons or the exhaust cover get crazy hot while on the hose ? If not then investigate the sensors , make sure their holes are clean and use the correct grease while I can't remember off hand ! If they do get hot then you might need to remove the engine unit complete and check the water intake passageways !
I discovered a broken head bolt on the very bottom of cylinder 6 so it could be a problem with hot exhaust getting into the water cooling chamber. Also lately I have seen raw fuel coming out of the prop from the exhaust ports while starting it up with the water dogs/ears on the lower unit. So much fuel that it melted some of the black ashfault under the lower unit. Has me thinking problems are stacking up. could the excessive fuel be related to a bad injector?
